The same day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord, for there he offered the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat pieces of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that was before the Lord was too small to receive the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat pieces of the peace offerings.

Ezekiel 43:13-17
“ These are the measurements of the altar by cubits( the cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth): its base shall be one cubit high and one cubit broad, with a rim of one span around its edge. And this shall be the height of the altar:from the base on the ground to the lower ledge, two cubits, with a breadth of one cubit; and from the smaller ledge to the larger ledge, four cubits, with a breadth of one cubit;and the altar hearth, four cubits; and from the altar hearth projecting upward, four horns.The altar hearth shall be square, twelve cubits long by twelve broad.The ledge also shall be square, fourteen cubits long by fourteen broad, with a rim around it half a cubit broad, and its base one cubit all around. The steps of the altar shall face east.”

And the bronze altar that was before the Lord he removed from the front of the house, from the place between his altar and the house of the Lord, and put it on the north side of his altar.And King Ahaz commanded Uriah the priest, saying,“ On the great altar burn the morning burnt offering and the evening grain offering and the king’s burnt offering and his grain offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their grain offering and their drink offering. And throw on it all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of the sacrifice, but the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by.”

Exodus 27:1-8
“ You shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits broad. The altar shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits.And you shall make horns for it on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay it with bronze.You shall make pots for it to receive its ashes, and shovels and basins and forks and fire pans. You shall make all its utensils of bronze.You shall also make for it a grating, a network of bronze, and on the net you shall make four bronze rings at its four corners.And you shall set it under the ledge of the altar so that the net extends halfway down the altar.And you shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.And the poles shall be put through the rings, so that the poles are on the two sides of the altar when it is carried.You shall make it hollow, with boards. As it has been shown you on the mountain, so shall it be made.

Three times a year Solomon used to offer up burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar that he built to the Lord, making offerings with it before the Lord. So he finished the house.
