兩年以內、我必將巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒從這地掠到巴比倫去的器皿，就是永恆主殿中的一切器皿、都帶回這地來。

當伯沙撒喝酒歡暢的時候，他吩咐人將他父親尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷裏面殿堂中所掠取的金銀器皿拿來，王和大臣王后妃嬪好用這些器皿來喝酒。於是人就把從耶路撒冷裏面上帝殿中、就是殿堂中、所掠取的金銀器皿拿了來；王和大臣王后妃嬪就用這些器皿來喝酒。他們喝酒，稱頌了金銀銅鐵木頭石頭的神。

對祭司們和這眾民我也告訴他們說：『永恆主這麼說：你們可不要聽你們的神言人的話，他們向你們傳神言說：「看吧，永恆主殿中的器皿就快要從巴比倫帶回來了」；其實他們向你們傳的是假神言。你們不要聽他們；只管服事巴比倫王，以得存活。為甚麼要讓這城變為荒廢呢？他們如果是神言人，如果有永恆主的話傳與他們，那麼就讓他們祈求萬軍之永恆主使那在永恆主殿中、和猶大王宮中、以及在耶路撒冷剩下的器皿、不被帶到巴比倫去呀。
