約書亞與之修好立約、容其生存、會中牧伯向之發誓、

我素知爾剛愎、爾項乃鐵、爾額乃銅、

抑輕褻其宏大之慈惠寬容恆忍、不知上帝之慈惠導爾改悔乎、乃任爾剛愎、罔有悛心、積怒厥躬、以至上帝震怒、顯其義鞫之日、
