利未人见箱子满了，就抬到王的官员那里。王的书记和大祭司的属下会把箱子倒空，然后把箱子放回原处。日复一日，他们收了很多银子。王与耶何耶大把银子交给耶和华殿里的办事人员，他们就雇用石匠、木匠、铁匠和铜匠来整修耶和华的殿。工人辛勤整修，工程进展顺利，上帝的殿恢复了原貌，而且非常坚固。完工后，他们把剩余的银子交给王与耶何耶大，这些银子被用来制造耶和华殿里的器具：供奉和献祭用的器皿、碟子和其他金银器皿。耶何耶大在世之日，民众常在耶和华的殿里献燔祭。

最后，弟兄姊妹，你们要思想一切真实、可敬、公义、纯洁、可爱、有好名声、有美德和值得赞许的事情。

当一切都办妥后，所有在场的以色列人就前往犹大各城邑，打碎神柱，砍倒亚舍拉神像，又拆毁犹大、便雅悯、以法莲、玛拿西境内所有的丘坛和祭坛，然后各自返回自己的城邑和家园。

“你去见大祭司希勒迦，让他清点奉献到耶和华殿中的银子，那些银子是殿门守卫从民众收集来的。然后把银子交给负责修理耶和华殿的督工，他们就可以购买木料和凿好的石头，雇用木匠、建筑工人和石匠来修理耶和华的殿。
