In the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon, as far as Naphtali, and in the ruins around them,

Josiah went to the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon. He went all the way to Naphtali. He also went to the destroyed places around all those towns.

And in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, and as far as Naphtali, in their ruins all around,

He did the same thing in the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, even as far as Naphtali, and in the regions all around them.

He did the same in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, and as far as Naphtali and on their surrounding mountain shrines.

In the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, Simeon, and as far as Naphtali, in their surrounding spaces,

And so he did in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, as far as Naphtali and all around, with axes.

And so did he in the cities of Manasseh and Ephraim and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, in their ruins round about.

He did the same in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, and as far as Naphtali and on their surrounding mountain shrines.

祀事既畢、以色列眾往猶大、便雅憫、以法蓮、馬拿西諸邑、毀偶像、伐林木、廢崇坵、拆祭壇、滅之務盡、然後歸。

以色列人欲礪其耒耜、斧斤、則詣非利士人所。惟有銼以削其耒耜、斧斤、與鋤、使錣銳利。

趨承者遍行以法蓮馬拿西諸邑、延及西布倫為人訕笑。亞設、馬拿西、西布倫中有數人、卑以自牧、詣耶路撒冷。

昔尼八子耶羅破暗、陷以色列族於罪戾、在伯特利立崇坵、築祭壇、約西亞毀其祭壇、廢其崇坵、焚其偶像、擣之成粉。約西亞回視山旁之墓、遣人取其骨、焚於祭壇以污之、應上帝僕奉耶和華所宣之言。約西亞見碑、問曰、斯何碑也。邑人曰、昔上帝之僕、自猶大而來、預言爾所行於伯特利壇之事、斯其墓也。王曰、毋遷其骨、遂弗遷。撒馬利亞先知之骨亦弗遷。昔以色列列王、在撒馬利亞諸邑、作崇坵之室、干耶和華震怒、約西亞毀之、無異於伯特利所行、在壇殺崇坵之祭司、焚人骨於上、後歸耶路撒冷。

妄證者若梃、若刃、若利鏃、

希西家召以色列猶大二族、復致書以法蓮馬拿西二支派、使至耶路撒冷、詣耶和華殿守逾越節、奉事以色列族之上帝耶和華。

昔有山岡、既修既治、今生荊棘、人不敢往、牛羊踐之。
