He sacrificed his children in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced divination and witchcraft, sought omens, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.

He got messages from people who had died. He talked to the spirits of people who have died. He did many things that were evil in the eyes of the Lord. Manasseh made the Lord very angry.

And he burned his sons as an offering in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and used fortune-telling and omens and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.

Manasseh also sacrificed his own sons in the fire in the valley of Ben Hinnom. He practiced sorcery, divination, and witchcraft, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the Lord’s sight, arousing his anger.

照着耶和華從以色列人面前趕出的外邦人所行可憎的事，在欣嫩子谷燒香，用火焚燒他的兒女，

「人若轉向招魂的和行巫術的，隨從他們行淫，我就要向這人變臉，把他從百姓中剪除。

並使他的兒子經火，又觀星象，行法術，求問招魂的和行巫術的，多行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

不可使你兒女經火獻給摩洛，也不可褻瀆你神的名。我是耶和華。

有人對你們說：「當求問招魂的與行巫術的，他們唧唧喳喳，念念有詞。」然而，百姓不當求問自己的神嗎？豈可為活人求問死人呢？

「不可轉向招魂的，也不可求問行巫術的，免得被他們玷污。我是耶和華－你們的神。

他們在欣嫩子谷建造陀斐特的丘壇，要在火中焚燒自己的兒女。這並不是我所吩咐的，我心裏也從來沒有想過。因此，看哪，日子將到，這地方不再稱為陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒稱為殺戮谷。他們要在陀斐特埋葬屍首，甚至無處可葬。這是耶和華說的。

這樣，掃羅為了他的不忠死了；因為他干犯耶和華，沒有遵守耶和華的話，又因他求問招魂的婦人，

「無論男女，是招魂的或行巫術的，他們必被處死。人要用石頭打死他們，血要歸在他們身上。」

拜偶像、行邪術、仇恨、紛爭、忌恨、憤怒、自私、分派、結黨、

你不可向耶和華－你的神這樣做，因為他們向他們的神明做了耶和華所憎恨、所厭惡的一切事，甚至將自己的兒女用火焚燒，獻給他們的神明。

哪知，喪子、寡居這兩件事一日之間忽然臨到你；你雖多行邪術、廣施魔咒，這兩件事必全然臨到你身上。你倚靠自己的惡行，說：「無人看見我。」你的智慧聰明使你走偏，你心裏說：「惟有我，除我以外再沒有別的了。」但災禍臨到你，你不知如何驅除；災害落在你身上，你也無法除掉，你所不知道的毀滅必忽然臨到你身上。儘管使用從幼年就施行的魔符和眾多的邪術吧！或許有些幫助，或許可以致勝。

悖逆與占卜的罪相等，頑梗與拜偶像的罪孽相同。因為你厭棄耶和華的命令，耶和華也厭棄你作王。」

「你們不可吃帶血的食物。不可占卜，也不可觀星象。

他又玷污欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裏使兒女經火獻給摩洛。

此外，在猶大地和耶路撒冷所見那些招魂的、行巫術的，家中的神像和偶像，以及一切可憎之物，約西亞盡都除掉，實行了希勒家祭司在耶和華殿裏所發現的律法書上所寫的話。

她們行姦淫，手中有血。她們與偶像行姦淫，使她們為我所生的兒女經火，給它們當食物。

埃及人的心神在裏面耗盡，我要破壞他們的計謀。他們必求問偶像和念咒的，求問招魂的與行巫術的人。

使他們的兒女經火，占卜，行法術，出賣自己，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

你中間不可有人使兒女經火，也不可有占卜的、觀星象的、行法術的、行邪術的、施符咒的、招魂的、行巫術的和求問死人的。凡做這些事的都是耶和華所憎惡的；因這可憎惡的事，耶和華－你的神把他們從你面前趕出去。你要向耶和華－你的神作完全人。你所要趕出的那些國家都聽從觀星象的和占卜的，但是耶和華－你的神從來不准你這樣做。」

「你要對以色列人說：凡以色列人，或是寄居在以色列的外人，把自己兒女獻給摩洛的，必被處死；本地的百姓要用石頭打死他。

她們殺了兒女獻給偶像，當天又進入我的聖所，褻瀆了它。看哪，這就是她們在我殿中所做的。
