And he built altars in the house of Jehovah, whereof Jehovah said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.

昔耶和華曰、耶路撒冷必為籲我名之所、永世勿替、而馬拿西在耶和華殿之二院築壇、奉事天象。

在主之殿宇建祭壇、昔主云、我名必永在耶路撒冷、所言即指此殿、

He built altars in the temple of the Lord, of which the Lord had said,“ My Name will remain in Jerusalem forever.”

He built altars in the Lord’ s temple. The Lord had said about his temple,“ My Name will remain in Jerusalem forever.”

And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said,“ In Jerusalem shall my name be forever.”

He built pagan altars in the Temple of the Lord, the place where the Lord had said,“ My name will remain in Jerusalem forever.”

He built altars in the LORD’s temple, where the LORD had said,“ Jerusalem is where my name will remain forever.”

He built altars in the house of the Lord of which the Lord had said,“ My name shall be in Jerusalem forever.”

He built altars in the Lord’s temple, where Yahweh had said,“ Jerusalem is where My name will remain forever.”

then it shall come to pass that to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, thither shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt- offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave- offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto Jehovah.

but I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there, and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

that thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place whereof thou hast said, My name shall be there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall pray toward this place.

And he built altars in the house of Jehovah, whereof Jehovah said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of Jehovah.

And he took away the foreign gods, and the idol out of the house of Jehovah, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of Jehovah, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.

And they spake of the God of Jerusalem, as of the gods of the peoples of the earth, which are the work of men’s hands.

For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the Asherim, and the graven images, and the molten images.And they brake down the altars of the Baalim in his presence; and the sun- images that were on high above them he hewed down; and the Asherim, and the graven images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust of them, and strewed it upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.

For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in my sight, saith Jehovah: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

And Jehovah said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.
