But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.

The rulers of Babylon sent messengers to him. They asked him about the miraculous sign that had taken place in the land. Then God left Hezekiah to test him. God wanted to know everything in Hezekiah’s heart.

And so in the matter of the envoys of the princes of Babylon, who had been sent to him to inquire about the sign that had been done in the land, God left him to himself, in order to test him and to know all that was in his heart.

However, when ambassadors arrived from Babylon to ask about the remarkable events that had taken place in the land, God withdrew from Hezekiah in order to test him and to see what was really in his heart.

When the ambassadors of Babylon’s rulers were sent to him to inquire about the miraculous sign that happened in the land, God left him to test him and discover what was in his heart.

Even in the matter of the messengers of the rulers of Babylon, who were sent to him to inquire about the wonder that had happened in the land; God left him alone only to test him, so that He might know everything that was in his heart.

However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

When the ambassadors of Babylon’s rulers were sent to him to inquire about the miraculous sign that happened in the land, God left him to test him and discover what was in his heart.

Howbeit in[ the business of] the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was[ done] in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all[ that was] in his heart.

So when the envoys arrived from the Babylonian officials to visit him and inquire about the sign that occurred in the land, God left him alone to test him, in order to know his true motives.

However concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

你也要记念耶和华你的神在旷野引导你这四十年，是要苦炼你，试验你，要知道你心内如何，肯守他的诫命不肯。

这些事以后，神要试验亚伯拉罕，就呼叫他说：“亚伯拉罕！”他说：“我在这里。”

那时希西家病得要死，就祷告耶和华，耶和华应允他，赐他一个兆头。

又在旷野将你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，是要苦炼你，试验你，叫你终久享福；

人被试探，不可说：“我是被神试探”；因为神不能被恶试探，他也不试探人。

你且伸手毁他一切所有的；他必当面弃掉你。”耶和华对撒但说：“凡他所有的都在你手中；只是不可伸手加害于他。”于是撒但从耶和华面前退去。

我是葡萄树，你们是枝子。常在我里面的，我也常在他里面，这人就多结果子；因为离了我，你们就不能作什么。

鼎为炼银，炉为炼金；惟有耶和华熬炼人心。

他来的日子，谁能当得起呢？他显现的时候，谁能立得住呢？因为他如炼金之人的火，如漂布之人的碱。他必坐下如炼净银子的，必洁净利未人，熬炼他们像金银一样；他们就凭公义献供物给耶和华。

那时，巴比伦王巴拉但的儿子米罗达巴拉但听见希西家病而痊愈，就送书信和礼物给他。希西家喜欢见使者，就把自己宝库的金子、银子、香料、贵重的膏油，和他武库的一切军器，并所有的财宝都给他们看；他家中和全国之内，希西家没有一样不给他们看的。于是先知以赛亚来见希西家王，问他说：“这些人说什么？他们从哪里来见你？”希西家说：“他们从远方的巴比伦来见我。”以赛亚说：“他们在你家里看见了什么？”希西家说：“凡我家中所有的，他们都看见了；我财宝中没有一样不给他们看的。”以赛亚对希西家说：“你要听万军之耶和华的话：日子必到，凡你家里所有的，并你列祖积蓄到如今的，都要被掳到巴比伦去，不留下一样；这是耶和华说的。并且从你本身所生的众子，其中必有被掳去、在巴比伦王宫里当太监的。”希西家对以赛亚说：“你所说耶和华的话甚好，因为在我的年日中必有太平和稳固的景况。”

我要使这三分之一经火，熬炼他们，如熬炼银子；试炼他们，如试炼金子。他们必求告我的名，我必应允他们。我要说：‘这是我的子民。’他们也要说：‘耶和华是我们的神。’”

大利拉说：“参孙哪，非利士人拿你来了！”参孙从睡中醒来，心里说：“我要像前几次出去活动身体”；他却不知道耶和华已经离开他了。

希西家问以赛亚说：“耶和华必医治我，到第三日，我能上耶和华的殿，有什么兆头呢？”以赛亚说：“耶和华必成就他所说的。这是他给你的兆头：你要日影向前进十度呢？是要往后退十度呢？”希西家回答说：“日影向前进十度容易，我要日影往后退十度。”先知以赛亚求告耶和华，耶和华就使亚哈斯的日晷向前进的日影，往后退了十度。那时，巴比伦王巴拉但的儿子米罗达巴拉但听见希西家病而痊愈，就送书信和礼物给他。希西家听从使者的话，就把他宝库的金子、银子、香料、贵重的膏油，和他武库的一切军器，并他所有的财宝，都给他们看。他家中和他全国之内，希西家没有一样不给他们看的。

不要向我掩面。不要发怒赶逐仆人，你向来是帮助我的。救我的神啊，不要丢掉我，也不要离弃我。

耶和华啊，你已经鉴察我，认识我。我坐下，我起来，你都晓得；你从远处知道我的意念。

你也不可听那先知或是那做梦之人的话；因为这是耶和华你们的神试验你们，要知道你们是尽心尽性爱耶和华你们的神不是。

叫你们的信心既被试验，就比那被火试验仍然能坏的金子更显宝贵，可以在耶稣基督显现的时候得着称赞、荣耀、尊贵。

“我耶和华必成就我所说的。我先给你一个兆头，就是叫亚哈斯的日晷，向前进的日影往后退十度。”于是，前进的日影果然在日晷上往后退了十度。

不要丢弃我，使我离开你的面；不要从我收回你的圣灵。求你使我仍得救恩之乐，赐我乐意的灵扶持我，

求你照你的话扶持我，使我存活，也不叫我因失望而害羞。求你扶持我，我便得救，时常看重你的律例。

耶和华问撒但说：“你曾用心察看我的仆人约伯没有？地上再没有人像他完全正直，敬畏神，远离恶事。你虽激动我攻击他，无故地毁灭他，他仍然持守他的纯正。”撒但回答耶和华说：“人以皮代皮，情愿舍去一切所有的，保全性命。你且伸手伤他的骨头和他的肉，他必当面弃掉你。”耶和华对撒但说：“他在你手中，只要存留他的性命。”

神啊，求你鉴察我，知道我的心思，试炼我，知道我的意念，看在我里面有什么恶行没有，引导我走永生的道路。
