然希西家抑其驕心、與耶路撒冷居民自卑、故希西家存日、耶和華之怒未及之、

嗣後希西家及耶路撒冷民、汰其驕心、卑以自牧、故希西家存日、耶和華不降以災。○

Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the Lord’s wrath did not come on them during the days of Hezekiah.

Then Hezekiah had a change of heart. He was sorry he had been proud. The people of Jerusalem were also sorry they had sinned. So the Lord wasn’t angry with them as long as Hezekiah was king.

But Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

Then Hezekiah humbled himself and repented of his pride, as did the people of Jerusalem. So the Lord’s anger did not fall on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.

Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart— he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem— so the LORD’s wrath didn’t come on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.

Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart,[ both] he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

But then Hezekiah and the residents of Jerusalem humbled themselves and abandoned their pride, and the LORD was not angry with them for the rest of Hezekiah’s reign.

Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that Yahweh’s wrath didn’t come on them in the days of Hezekiah.

當猶大王希西家之時、摩利沙人米迦為先知、告猶大民眾云、萬有之主如是云、郇將變為田、為人所耕、耶路撒冷將變為瓦礫、斯殿之山、將如林中荒邱、猶大王希西家與猶大庶民、何嘗殺之、惟希西家敬畏主、祈禱主、則主更易其志、不降所言欲降之災、我儕今竟欲行此大惡、自取罪戾、

瑪拿西於患難中禱主其天主、在列祖之天主前、極其自卑、

聞我指此處及其居民所言、爾則中心敬服、於我前自卑、裂衣、哭於我前、故我俯聽爾、使爾平康歸爾列祖、歸爾墓中、我所將降於此處及其居民之諸災、不使爾目睹之、此乃主所言、使者返、復言於王、○

當自卑於主前、則主必高舉爾、○

亞哈自卑於我前、爾見之乎、因其自卑於我前、故其尚存之日、我不降以此災、迨及其子之時、乃降災於其家、

告之曰、主如是云、爾已殺人、又據其業乎、主如是云、犬於何處餂拿伯之血、亦於何處將餂爾之血、

其祈禱蒙允、其一切罪愆、未自卑以前在何處築邱壇、立亞舍拉及偶像、俱載於何賽何賽或作先見之書、

以賽亞謂希西家曰、爾當聽主之言、時日必至、爾家中所有之物、與爾列祖所積蓄至於今日者、俱遷至巴比倫、不遺一物、此乃主所言、爾之子孫、由爾所生者、為人所擄、在巴比倫王宮為宦官、希西家謂以賽亞曰、爾所傳主之言甚善、又曰、或作自思曰我在世之日、仍享平康、遇誠實遇誠實或作不遭變足矣、

彼時必認己之罪、及其列祖之罪、即干我逆我以行之罪、我依其逆行、散之於敵國、後若其剛愎之心、剛愎之心或作不淨之心自卑以服罪、

不在主前自卑、不如其父瑪拿西自卑、乃犯罪愈重、

其日必至、爾宮中所有之物、與爾列祖所積畜至於今日者、俱被擄至巴比倫、不遺一物、此乃主所言、爾之子孫、由爾所生者、為人所擄、在巴比倫王宮為宦豎、希西家謂以賽亞曰、爾所傳主之言甚善、又曰、又曰或作自思曰我在世之日、仍享平康、遇誠實遇誠實或作不遭變足矣、
