Before the morning, they are no more. This is the portion of those who plunder us, and the lot of those who rob us.

That night, Yahweh’s angel went out, and struck one hundred eighty- five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and lived at Nineveh.As he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer struck him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Esar Haddon his son reigned in his place.

You, even you, are to be feared. Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?

Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he didn’t give God the glory. Then he was eaten by worms and died.

“ I am Yahweh. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images.

My God has sent his angel, and has shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not hurt me; because as before him innocence was found in me; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.”

For he says,“ Aren’t all of my princes kings?

He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.

When the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, Yahweh relented of the disaster, and said to the angel who destroyed the people,“ It is enough. Now withdraw your hand.” Yahweh’s angel was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

He will fight with them in battles, brandishing weapons.For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, for the king it is prepared. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. Yahweh’s breath, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.

So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous,and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.”

Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said,“ Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will shine.”

Valiant men lie plundered, they have slept their last sleep. None of the men of war can lift their hands.

Behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.

How then can you turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put your trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

Pride goes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall.

Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.She will be visited by Yahweh of Armies with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.

Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.He will consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.
