我和我列祖向四圍各地萬族之民所行的、你們不知道麼？各地列國的神何嘗真能援救他們本地脫離我的手呢？

我与我列祖向列邦所行的，你们岂不知道吗？列邦的神何尝能救自己的国脱离我手呢？

我与我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你们岂不知道吗？列邦的神明何尝能救自己的国脱离我的手呢？

难道你们不知道我和我的祖先怎样对付列国吗？列国的神明哪个能从我手中救自己的国家呢？

我和我列祖向各地的民族所行的，你们不知道吗？各地列国的神能拯救他们的国脱离我的手吗？

我與我列祖向列邦所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神何嘗能救自己的國脫離我手呢？

我與我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神明何嘗能救自己的國脫離我的手呢？

我與我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神明何嘗能救自己的國脫離我的手呢？

難道你們不知道我和我的祖先怎樣對付列國嗎？列國的神明哪個能從我手中救自己的國家呢？

我和我列祖向各地的民族所行的，你們不知道嗎？各地列國的神能拯救他們的國脫離我的手嗎？

我與列祖何以待列邦之民、爾豈不知乎、列邦之神、能救其國脫於我手乎、

我與列祖、滅四方民、爾豈不知乎、列邦之上帝、豈能救其國、脫於我手乎。

我與列祖如何待列邦、爾豈不知乎、列邦之神、能救其國脫於我手乎、

“ Do you not know what I and my predecessors have done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to deliver their land from my hand?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and the kings who ruled before me have done? Don’t you know what we’ve done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to save their lands from my power?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to deliver their lands out of my hand?

“ Surely you must realize what I and the other kings of Assyria before me have done to all the people of the earth! Were any of the gods of those nations able to rescue their people from my power?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and my predecessors have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have any of the national gods of the lands been able to rescue their land from my power?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to save their land from my hand?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands in any way able to deliver their lands out of my hand?

Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any wise able to deliver their land out of my hand?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have any of the national gods of the lands been able to deliver their land from my power?

Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the people of[ other] lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of mine hand?

Are you not aware of what I and my predecessors have done to all the nations of the surrounding lands? Have the gods of the surrounding lands actually been able to rescue their lands from my power?

Don’t you know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any way able to deliver their land out of my hand?

列國的神有哪一位真地援救過他的本地脫離亞述王的手呢？哈馬亞珥拔的神在哪裏呢？西法瓦音希奪以瓦的神在哪裏呢？他們何曾援救過撒瑪利亞脫離我的手呢？這些國家的神有誰曾援救過他們的本地脫離我的手呢？難道耶和華能援救耶路撒冷脫離我的手麼？」』

你們不要恐懼，不要懼怕我不是從上古就說給你聽，就告訴了你了麼？你們就是我的見證！我以外哪有真神呢？實在沒有磐石；我不知道有啊。』製造雕像的盡都虛空；他們所喜愛的都沒有用處；他們的見證人毫無所見，毫無所知，以致自己失望。誰製造神像，鑄造無用的雕像呢？

我們的上帝是在天上；他喜悅甚麼，就作甚麼。外國人的偶像是銀的或金的，是人的手所作的。他們有口、卻不能說話；有眼、卻不能看；有耳、卻不能聽；有鼻、卻不能聞；有手、卻不能摸；有腳、卻不能走路；也不能用喉嚨出聲。造它們的、正和它們一樣；凡倚靠它們的、正如它們一般。

所以論到喫祭偶像之物這一件事、我們知道偶像在世上算不了甚麼，也知道除了一位上帝以外、沒有別的上帝。

看哪，你總聽說過亞述諸王怎樣將各地盡行毁滅歸神罷；難道你還能得援救麼？我列祖所毁滅的國：歌散、哈蘭、利色、和在提拉撒的伊甸人：這些國的神何曾援救過它呢？哈馬的王、亞珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希奪以瓦的王都在哪裏呢？」』

當以色列王比加在位的日子、亞述王提革拉毘列色來奪取以雲、亞伯伯瑪迦、亞挪、基低斯、夏瑣、基列、加利利、和拿弗他利全地；使這些地方的居民都流亡到亞述去。

迦勒挪豈不像迦基米施麼？哈瑪豈不像亞珥拔麼？撒瑪利亞豈不像大馬色麼？我的手既抓到這些偶相之國，就是有雕像勝過耶路撒冷和撒瑪利亞的之雕像的，

你們看，你們聽，不但在以弗所、也幾乎在全亞西亞、這個保羅都唆誘了帶壞了好大羣的人，說：「那些用人手作的並不是神。」

你們要對他們這麼說：『那沒有造天造地的神必從地上、從天下、被除滅。』是永恆主用他的能力造了大地，用他的智慧建立了世界，用他的聰明展開了諸天。

永恆主啊，亞述諸王真地使所有的國家和它們的地都乾燥荒涼，將它們的神像都扔在火裏；因為他們並不是神，乃是人手造的，木頭石頭的；所以他們除滅他們。永恆主我們的上帝啊，現在求你拯救我們脫離亞述王的手，使地上萬國都知道惟獨你、永恆主、才是上帝。』

永恆主啊，亞述諸王真地使到列國和他們的地都乾燥荒涼，將他們的神像都扔在火裏；因為他們並不是神，乃是人手造的，木頭石頭的；故此他們才除滅他們。永恆主我們的上帝啊，現在求你拯救我們脫離亞述王的手，使地上萬國都知道惟獨你、永恆主、才是上帝。』

由於上帝所賜給他的大權、各族之民、列國之民、各種方言的人就都在他面前戰兢恐懼：他喜歡殺誰、就殺誰，喜歡讓誰活着、就讓誰活着，他喜歡讓誰升高、就讓誰升高，喜歡叫誰降低、就叫誰降低。

亞述王上來，走遍以色列地，上到撒瑪利亞，把它圍困了三年。何細亞九年、亞述王攻取了撒瑪利亞，使以色列人流亡到亞述，住在哈臘和歌散的哈博河邊、跟瑪代人的城市。

那做雅各業分的並不像這些；因為他是形成萬有的；以色列是他產業的族派；萬軍之永恆主耶和華是他的名。

現在我，尼布甲尼撒、稱頌、尊崇、歸榮耀於天上的王，因為他所作的全都對，他所行的也都公平；他能把行為驕傲的降為卑微。』

我的手抓到了別族之民的資財，好像人抓到鳥窩；我取得了全地，好像人拾取了被遺棄的雀蛋一樣；卻沒有動一動翅膀的，或是開一開口啁啾一聲的。』

我列祖所毁滅的國：歌散、哈蘭、利色、和在提拉撒的伊甸人；這些國的神何曾援救過它們呢？哈馬的王、亞珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿以瓦的王都在哪裏呢？」』

他們論到耶路撒冷的上帝，就如同論到地上別族之民的神、人手所造的神一樣。

王應時說：『這豈不是大巴比倫，我用我財力的權勢所建築、做王家宮殿，要顯示我威嚴之光榮的麼？』
