我和我列祖向各地的民族所行的，你們不知道嗎？各地列國的神能拯救他們的國脫離我的手嗎？

我与我列祖向列邦所行的，你们岂不知道吗？列邦的神何尝能救自己的国脱离我手呢？

我与我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你们岂不知道吗？列邦的神明何尝能救自己的国脱离我的手呢？

难道你们不知道我和我的祖先怎样对付列国吗？列国的神明哪个能从我手中救自己的国家呢？

我和我列祖向各地的民族所行的，你们不知道吗？各地列国的神能拯救他们的国脱离我的手吗？

我與我列祖向列邦所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神何嘗能救自己的國脫離我手呢？

我與我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神明何嘗能救自己的國脫離我的手呢？

我與我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神明何嘗能救自己的國脫離我的手呢？

難道你們不知道我和我的祖先怎樣對付列國嗎？列國的神明哪個能從我手中救自己的國家呢？

我和我列祖向四圍各地萬族之民所行的、你們不知道麼？各地列國的神何嘗真能援救他們本地脫離我的手呢？

我與列祖何以待列邦之民、爾豈不知乎、列邦之神、能救其國脫於我手乎、

我與列祖、滅四方民、爾豈不知乎、列邦之上帝、豈能救其國、脫於我手乎。

我與列祖如何待列邦、爾豈不知乎、列邦之神、能救其國脫於我手乎、

“ Do you not know what I and my predecessors have done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to deliver their land from my hand?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and the kings who ruled before me have done? Don’t you know what we’ve done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to save their lands from my power?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to deliver their lands out of my hand?

“ Surely you must realize what I and the other kings of Assyria before me have done to all the people of the earth! Were any of the gods of those nations able to rescue their people from my power?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and my predecessors have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have any of the national gods of the lands been able to rescue their land from my power?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to save their land from my hand?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands in any way able to deliver their lands out of my hand?

Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any wise able to deliver their land out of my hand?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have any of the national gods of the lands been able to deliver their land from my power?

Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the people of[ other] lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of mine hand?

Are you not aware of what I and my predecessors have done to all the nations of the surrounding lands? Have the gods of the surrounding lands actually been able to rescue their lands from my power?

Don’t you know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any way able to deliver their land out of my hand?

列國的神真能解救他們的國土脫離亞述王的手嗎？哈馬和亞珥拔的神在哪裡呢？西法瓦音、希拿和以瓦的神在哪裡呢？他們可以解救撒瑪利亞脫離我的手嗎？這些國家所有的神，有哪一個曾解救他自己的國家脫離我的手呢？難道耶和華能解救耶路撒冷脫離我的手嗎？’”

你們不要驚惶，也不要懼怕。我不是老早就說了給你們聽，告訴了你們嗎？你們就是我的見證人。除我以外，還有真神嗎？沒有別的磐石；我一個也不知道。”製造偶像的人，盡都是虛空的，他們所喜愛的，都沒有益處。他們的見證人，一無所見，一無所知，以致他們蒙羞。誰製造神像，或鑄造偶像，不想得到益處呢？

我們的神在天上；他喜歡甚麼，就作甚麼。列國的偶像是金的、銀的，是人手所做的。它們有口，卻不能說話；有眼，卻不能看；有耳，卻不能聽；有鼻，卻不能聞；有手，卻不能摸；有腳，卻不能行；也不能用喉嚨發聲。做偶像的必和偶像一樣；凡是倚靠它們的，都必這樣。

關於吃祭過偶像的食物，我們知道世上的偶像算不得甚麼，也知道神只有一位，沒有別的神。

看哪，你聽過亞述列王怎樣對付列國，把它們完全毀滅，你會得著解救嗎？我祖先所消滅的民族，就是歌散人、哈蘭人、利色人和在提．拉撒的伊甸人，他們的神可曾解救他們嗎？哈馬王、亞珥拔王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿王和以瓦王在哪裡呢？’”

以色列王比加在位的日子，亞述王提革拉．毗列色前來，攻取了以雲、亞伯．伯．瑪迦、亞挪、基低斯、夏瑣、基列、加利利和拿弗他利全地，把居民擄到亞述去。

迦勒挪不是像迦基米施嗎？哈瑪不是像亞珥拔嗎？撒瑪利亞不是像大馬士革嗎？我的手伸展到這些充滿偶像的國，他們雕刻的像比耶路撒冷和撒瑪利亞的還多。

現在你們看見了，也聽見了，這個保羅不單在以弗所，而且幾乎在整個亞西亞，說服了，也帶壞了許多人，說：‘人手所做的，都不是神。’

你們要對他們這樣說：“那些沒有創造天地的神，必從地上、從天下消滅。”耶和華用自己的能力創造了大地，用自己的智慧堅立了世界，又用自己的聰明展開了諸天。

耶和華啊！亞述列王果然使列國和他們的土地變成荒涼，又把列國的神都扔進火中；因為他們不是神，只是人手所做的，不過是木頭和石頭，所以他們就滅絕了他們。耶和華我們的神啊！現在求你拯救我們脫離亞述王的手，使地上萬國都知道唯有你耶和華是神。”

耶和華啊！亞述列王真的曾毀壞列國和它們的領土，把它們的神丟進火裡，但他們並不是神，不過是人手用木頭、石頭做成的，因此他們可以把他們除掉。現在，耶和華我們的神啊，求你從他的手中把我們拯救出來，地上萬國就可以知道只有你耶和華才是神。”

因神所賜給他的權勢，各國、各族和說各種語言的人，都在他面前戰兢恐懼；他要殺誰，就殺誰；要誰活著，誰就可以活著；要提升誰，就提升誰；要貶低誰，就貶低誰。

亞述王上來攻擊以色列全國各地，並且到撒瑪利亞來，圍城三年。何細亞在位第九年，亞述王佔領了撒瑪利亞，把以色列人擄到亞述去，安置他們在哈臘，在哈博河和歌散河一帶，以及在瑪代人的各城。

那作雅各產業的並不像這些偶像，因為他是萬物的創造者；以色列是屬他的民族，萬軍之耶和華是他的名。

現在我尼布甲尼撒讚美、尊崇、榮耀天上的王，因為他所作的一切都正確，他所行的也都公平；行為驕傲的，他都能貶低。”

我的手伸到列國的財寶那裡，好像抓到鳥窩一樣；我取得了全地，好像人拾起被棄的雀蛋；沒有動翅膀的，沒有張嘴的，也沒有鳴叫的。”

我列祖所毀滅的國，有歌撒、哈蘭、利色和在提．拉撒的伊甸人，這些國的神曾拯救她們嗎？哈馬的王、亞珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿和以瓦的王，現在都在哪裡呢？”

他們論到耶路撒冷的神，就好像世上萬民的神一樣，把他當作是人手所做的。

他說：“這大巴比倫城不是我用大能大力建造作我的京都，為顯我威嚴的榮耀嗎？”
