Then Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites who showed good insight in the things of the Lord. So they ate for the appointed seven days, sacrificing peace offerings and giving thanks to the Lord God of their fathers.

Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites, who showed good understanding of the service of the Lord. For the seven days they ate their assigned portion and offered fellowship offerings and praised the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

Hezekiah spoke words that gave hope to all the Levites. They understood how to serve the Lord well. For the seven days of the feast they ate the share given to them. They also sacrificed friendship offerings. They praised the Lord, the God of their people.

And Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites who showed good skill in the service of the Lord. So they ate the food of the festival for seven days, sacrificing peace offerings and giving thanks to the Lord, the God of their fathers.

Hezekiah encouraged all the Levites regarding the skill they displayed as they served the Lord. The celebration continued for seven days. Peace offerings were sacrificed, and the people gave thanks to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

While they stood in their place, they read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God.

He appointed military officers over the people and gathered them to him in the public square at the city gate, and spoke encouragingly to them, saying,

Now therefore, make confession to the Lord God of your fathers and do His will; and separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign wives.”

He read from the Book of the Law of God daily, from the first day to the last day. And they celebrated the feast seven days, and on the eighth day there was a festive assembly in accordance with the ordinance.

For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

They taught in Judah, having the Book of the Law of the Lord with them; and they went throughout the cities of Judah and taught among the people.

“ Therefore, behold, I am going to persuade her, Bring her into the wilderness, And speak kindly to her.

They will teach Your ordinances to Jacob, And Your Law to Israel. They shall put incense before You, And whole burnt offerings on Your altar.

More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,

He also said to the Levites who taught all Israel and who were holy to the Lord,“ Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built; it will not be a burden on your shoulders. Now serve the Lord your God and His people Israel.

“ And you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God which is in your hand, appoint magistrates and judges so that they may judge all the people who are in the province beyond the Euphrates River, that is, all those who know the laws of your God; and you may teach anyone who is ignorant of them.

Listen, for I will speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal right things.

And you shall go to the priest who is in office at that time and say to him,‘ I declare today to the Lord my God that I have entered the land which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.’Then the priest shall take the basket from your hand and set it before the altar of the Lord your God.And you shall respond and say before the Lord your God,‘ My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and resided there, few in number; but there he became a great, mighty, and populous nation.And the Egyptians treated us badly and oppressed us, and imposed hard labor on us.Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our wretched condition, our trouble, and our oppression;and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand, an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs and wonders;and He has brought us to this place, and has given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.And now behold, I have brought the first of the produce of the ground which You, Lord have given me.’ Then you shall set it before the Lord your God, and worship before the Lord your God;and you, the Levite, and the stranger who is among you shall rejoice in all the good which the Lord your God has given you and your household.

For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without the Law.

Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites explained the Law to the people while the people remained in their place.They read from the book, from the Law of God, translating to give the sense so that they understood the reading.

preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction.

“ Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God.“ Speak kindly to Jerusalem; And call out to her, that her warfare has ended, That her guilt has been removed, That she has received of the Lord’s hand Double for all her sins.”

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

For God, who said,“ Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

For Ezra had firmly resolved to study the Law of the Lord and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.
