The Israelites who were present in Jerusalem celebrated the Festival of Unleavened Bread for seven days with great rejoicing, while the Levites and priests praised the Lord every day with resounding instruments dedicated to the Lord.

The people of Israel who were in Jerusalem celebrated the Feast of Unleavened Bread. They celebrated for seven days with great joy. The Levites and priests praised the Lord every day. They praised the Lord with loud musical instruments. The instruments had been set apart to the Lord.

“七天之内你们都要吃无酵饼。第一天，要清除家中所有的酵。任何人若在这七天当中吃有酵的饼，要将他从以色列人中铲除。

在节期的七天之内，你们只可以吃无酵饼，到了第七天，你们要为耶和华守节期。

在那里，你们和儿女、仆婢及同城中没有分到土地作产业的利未人，要一起在你们的上帝耶和华面前欢喜快乐。

尼希米又说：“你们去吃肥美的肉，喝甘甜的酒，并分些给一无所有的人，因为今天是我们主的圣日。不要悲伤，因为从耶和华而来的喜乐就是你们的力量。”

你们和家人要在那里，在你们的上帝耶和华面前吃喝；要为你们所做的一切蒙祂赐福而欢喜快乐。

从一月十五日开始是耶和华的无酵节，一连七天你们必须吃无酵饼。

你们要把旧酵除掉，好成为真正无酵的新面团，因为我们逾越节的羔羊——基督已经被献为祭了。所以，我们不可带着歹毒邪恶的旧酵守这逾越节，而要用真诚纯洁的无酵饼。

约沙法与众人商议后，就派歌乐手穿上圣洁的礼服走在军队前面，赞美耶和华，说：“你们要称谢耶和华，因祂的慈爱永远长存！”

王又分派利未人在耶和华的殿里敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴，正如大卫王、王的先见迦得和先知拿单的指示，即耶和华借先知所吩咐的。利未人拿着大卫的乐器侍立在那里，祭司拿着号角侍立在那里。希西迦下令在坛上献燔祭。开始献燔祭时，伴随着号角声和以色列王大卫的乐器声，响起了颂赞耶和华的歌声。

除酵节到了，那天要宰杀逾越羊羔。

全耶路撒冷都喜气洋洋，因为自以色列王大卫的儿子所罗门时代以来，耶路撒冷从未有过这样的盛会。

他们天天同心合意地聚集在圣殿里敬拜上帝，又在各人家中掰饼聚会，以欢喜、慷慨的心分享食物，

住棚节期间，你们要和儿女、仆婢、同城的利未人、寄居者及孤儿寡妇一起欢庆。

要吹响号角赞美祂，要弹琴鼓瑟赞美祂！要击鼓跳舞赞美祂，要拨弦吹笛赞美祂！要击响铙钹赞美祂，用响亮的钹声赞美祂！

你们要靠主常常喜乐！我再说，你们要喜乐！

七月二十三日，所罗门王让民众各回本乡。他们看见耶和华向大卫、所罗门和祂的以色列子民所施的恩惠，就满心欢喜地回家去了。

除酵节，又名逾越节，快到了。
