信差遵照王的命令带着王和众官员的信走遍以色列和犹大，宣告说：“以色列人啊，你们应当归向亚伯拉罕、以撒和以色列的上帝耶和华，好使祂转向你们这些从亚述王手中逃脱的余民。

谕旨由信差送到王的各省，限令在一天之内，即十二月，也就是亚达月十三日，把犹太人的男女老少全部铲除、杀光、灭尽，并夺取他们的财物。

众人就讥笑祂，因为他们明明知道那女孩死了。

信差接到王的命令，急忙骑上王室快马上路。在书珊城也颁布了谕旨。

“我的年日比信差还快，匆匆而过，不见幸福。

百姓站着观看，官长嘲笑耶稣说：“祂救了别人，如果祂是上帝所选立的基督，让祂救自己吧！”

法利赛人向来贪财，他们一面听一面嗤笑耶稣。

有些人遭受戏弄和鞭打，还有些人遭受捆锁和囚禁。

听见保罗提到死人复活的事，有些人就嘲笑他，还有些人说：“我们改天再听你讲这个。”

末底改奉亚哈随鲁王的名写谕旨，用王的戒指盖印，让信差骑王室快马送往各地。

但和伦人参巴拉和官长亚扪人多比雅，以及阿拉伯人基善听说后，就讥笑我们，藐视我们，说：“你们在做什么？想要背叛王吗？”

看守耶稣的人嘲弄祂，殴打祂，蒙住祂的眼睛，对祂说：“说预言吧！是谁在打你？”

罗得听了就去通知他女儿的未婚夫说：“快走吧！耶和华要毁灭这城了！”可是他们却以为他是在开玩笑。

信差奉王的命令急忙上路，谕旨也在书珊城里颁布了。王和哈曼坐下饮酒，书珊城一片慌乱。

我这求告上帝并蒙祂应允的人竟成了朋友的笑柄，我这公义纯全的人竟成了笑柄。
