所以祂必须在每一方面都与祂的弟兄姊妹相同，以便在事奉上帝的事上成为一位仁慈忠信的大祭司，替众人献上赎罪祭。

在以色列肥美的草场上，每二百只羊便要献上一只。这些供物用来作素祭、燔祭和平安祭，为以色列人赎罪。这是主耶和华说的。

这一切都是上帝的作为，祂借着基督使我们与祂和好，又把劝人与祂和好的职分赐给了我们。也就是说，上帝在基督里使世人与自己和好，不再追究他们的过犯。祂已托付我们去传扬这和好之道。所以我们现在是基督的大使，可以说上帝正借着我们发出呼求。我们替基督恳求你们：要与上帝和好！上帝使无罪的基督担当我们的罪，使我们可以借着基督成为被上帝接纳的义人。

如果我们还与上帝为敌的时候，尚且可以借着上帝儿子的死亡与上帝和好，和好后的我们岂不更要借着祂儿子的生命得到拯救吗？不但如此，我们借着主耶稣基督与上帝和好之后，还要借着祂在上帝面前欢喜。

在祭坛上献燔祭和素祭，为他赎罪，他就洁净了。

“以色列全体会众若无意中触犯耶和华的诫命，即使没有意识到，也是犯罪。他们意识到后，必须献上一头公牛犊作赎罪祭。要将公牛犊带到会幕前，众长老要把手放在牛头上，在耶和华面前宰牛。大祭司要带一些牛血进入会幕，在耶和华面前用手指蘸血向幔子弹洒七次，也要把一些血抹在耶和华面前的香坛的四角上，然后把剩下的血倒在会幕门前的燔祭坛脚旁。他要取出公牛犊的所有脂肪，放在祭坛上焚烧，正如取出赎罪祭牲的脂肪一样。这样，大祭司为全体会众赎了罪，他们就会得到赦免。他要把这公牛犊剩下的部分拿到营外焚烧，像焚烧前一头公牛犊一样。这是为全体会众所献的赎罪祭。“首领若无意中触犯他的上帝耶和华的诫命，也是犯罪。他意识到自己犯罪后，必须献上一只毫无残疾的公山羊作祭物。他要把手放在羊头上，在杀燔祭牲的地方，在耶和华面前宰羊。这是他的赎罪祭。祭司要用手指蘸一些羊血抹在燔祭坛的角上，剩下的血要倒在燔祭坛脚旁。要像焚烧平安祭牲的脂肪一样，把羊的所有脂肪都放在坛上焚烧。这样，祭司为他赎了罪，他就会得到赦免。“平民若无意中触犯耶和华的诫命，也是犯罪。他意识到自己犯罪后，必须献上一只毫无残疾的母山羊作赎罪祭。他要把手放在羊头上，在杀燔祭牲的地方宰羊。祭司要用手指蘸一些羊血抹在燔祭坛的角上，剩下的血要倒在燔祭坛脚旁。献祭者要像取出平安祭牲的脂肪一样，取出母山羊的所有脂肪。祭司要把这一切放在坛上焚烧，作为蒙耶和华悦纳的馨香之祭。这样，祭司为他赎了罪，他就会得到赦免。“他若献绵羊作赎罪祭，必须献一只毫无残疾的母绵羊。他要把手放在羊头上，在杀燔祭牲的地方宰羊。祭司要用手指蘸一些羊血抹在燔祭坛的角上，剩下的血要倒在燔祭坛脚旁。献祭者要像取出平安祭牲的脂肪一样，取出母绵羊的所有脂肪。祭司要把这一切放在坛上，与献给耶和华的祭物一起焚烧。这样，祭司为他赎了罪，他就会得到赦免。
