如果你们离弃耶和华，去事奉外族人的神，那么在耶和华赐福给你们之后，他必转而降祸与你们，把你们消灭。”

对他说：‘你要谨慎，要镇定，不要因亚兰王利汛和利玛利的儿子这两个冒烟的火把头所发的怒气而害怕，也不要心里胆怯。因为亚兰、以法莲和利玛利的儿子，设恶谋要害你，说：

耶和华必使你在仇敌面前被击败；你从一条路出去攻击他们，必在他们面前从七条路逃跑；你必成为天下万国惊骇的对象。

如果你们违背了耶和华你们的神吩咐你们遵守的约，去事奉别的神，敬拜他们，耶和华必向你们大发烈怒，使你们从他赐给你们的美地上迅速灭亡。”

在那些日子，耶和华开始派遣亚兰王利汛和利玛利的儿子比加去攻击犹大。

看见了这些的人和万国的人都要问：‘耶和华为什么向这地这样行呢？为什么大发烈怒呢？’人就必回答：‘是因为他们离弃了耶和华他们列祖的神的约，就是耶和华把他们从埃及地领出来的时候，与他们所立的；去事奉别的神，向他们叩拜，就是他们不认识的神，也是耶和华没有给他们指定要拜的神；

以法莲的首都是撒玛利亚，撒玛利亚的首领是利玛利的儿子；你们若不相信，就必定不得坚立。”’”

大地被其上的居民玷污，因为他们犯了律法，违了律例，背了永远的约。因此，大地被咒诅吞灭，地上的居民要承担惩罚。因此，地上的居民被焚烧，剩下的人很少。

“但是，如果你不听从耶和华你神的话，不谨守遵行我今日吩咐你的一切诫命和律例，以下这一切咒诅就必临到你身上，把你赶上。

说：‘我必掩面不顾他们，要看看他们的结局怎样；因为他们是乖曲的一代，心里没有信实的人。

亚撒利雅就出来迎接亚撒，对他说：“亚撒和犹大、便雅悯所有的人哪！请听我说。你们跟随耶和华，耶和华就和你们同在；你们寻求他，就必给你们寻见；你们离弃他，他必离弃你们。

你自己的罪恶要惩罚你，你背道的事必责备你。你当知道，也要明白，离弃耶和华你的神，没有畏惧我的心，是邪恶的，是痛苦的。”这是主万军之耶和华的宣告。

你离弃了我，你转身背着我；因此我要伸手攻击你，毁灭你，我不会再回心转意。”这是耶和华的宣告。

但悖逆的和犯罪的，必一同灭亡，离弃耶和华的，也必灭亡。

不可随从别的神，就是你们周围各民族的神；因为在你们中间的耶和华你们的神，是忌邪的神，恐怕耶和华你的神向你发怒，就把你从这地上消灭。

亚比雅和他的人民大大地击杀以色列人；以色列人中倒毙的精兵共有五十万。

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，你快要和你的列祖长眠了；这人民要起来，在他们所要去的地方，在那地的人中，与外族人的神行邪淫，离弃我，破坏我与他们所立的约。到了那日，我必向他们大发烈怒，离弃他们，掩面不顾他们，他们就必被吞灭，并且遭遇很多灾祸和患难。到了那日，他们必说：‘我们遭遇这些灾祸，不是因为我们的神不在我们中间吗？’
