He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom and sacrificed his children in the fire, engaging in the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.

He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom. He sacrificed his children in the fire to other gods. He followed the practices of the nations. The Lord hates these practices. The Lord had driven out those nations to make room for the people of Israel.

and he made offerings in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom and burned his sons as an offering, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.

He offered sacrifices in the valley of Ben Hinnom, even sacrificing his own sons in the fire. In this way, he followed the detestable practices of the pagan nations the Lord had driven from the land ahead of the Israelites.

He burned incense in Ben Hinnom Valley and burned his children in the fire, imitating the detestable practices of the nations the LORD had dispossessed before the Israelites.

並在欣嫩子谷使他的兒女經火，又觀兆，用法術，行邪術，立交鬼的和行巫術的，多行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹動他的怒氣，

不可使你的兒女經火歸與摩洛，也不可褻瀆你神的名。我是耶和華。

上到欣嫩子谷，貼近耶布斯的南界（耶布斯就是耶路撒冷）；又上到欣嫩谷西邊的山頂，就是在利乏音谷極北的邊界；

又污穢欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裏使兒女經火獻給摩洛；

耶路撒冷的房屋和猶大君王的宮殿是已經被玷污的，就是他們在其上向天上的萬象燒香、向別神澆奠祭的宮殿房屋，都必與陀斐特一樣。』」

「你到了耶和華－你神所賜之地，那些國民所行可憎惡的事，你不可學着行。

出去到欣嫩子谷、哈珥西的門口那裏，宣告我所吩咐你的話，說：『猶大君王和耶路撒冷的居民哪，當聽耶和華的話。萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：我必使災禍臨到這地方，凡聽見的人都必耳鳴；因為他們和他們列祖，並猶大君王離棄我，將這地方看為平常，在這裏向素不認識的別神燒香，又使這地方滿了無辜人的血，又建築巴力的邱壇，好在火中焚燒自己的兒子，作為燔祭獻給巴力。這不是我所吩咐的，不是我所提說的，也不是我心所起的意。耶和華說：因此，日子將到，這地方不再稱為陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒稱為殺戮谷。

你不可向耶和華－你的神這樣行，因為他們向他們的神行了耶和華所憎嫌所恨惡的一切事，甚至將自己的兒女用火焚燒，獻與他們的神。

他們在欣嫩子谷建築陀斐特的邱壇，好在火中焚燒自己的兒女。這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心所起的意。」耶和華說：「因此，日子將到，這地方不再稱為陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒稱為殺戮谷。因為要在陀斐特葬埋屍首，甚至無處可葬；

卻效法以色列諸王所行的，又照着耶和華從以色列人面前趕出的外邦人所行可憎的事，使他的兒子經火，

他們在欣嫩子谷建築巴力的邱壇，好使自己的兒女經火歸摩洛；他們行這可憎的事，使猶大陷在罪裏，這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心所起的意。」

耶和華豈喜悅千千的公羊，或是萬萬的油河嗎？我豈可為自己的罪過獻我的長子嗎？為心中的罪惡獻我身所生的嗎？

並且你的衣襟上有無辜窮人的血；你殺他們並不是遇見他們挖窟窿，乃是因這一切的事。

把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔，流無辜人的血，就是自己兒女的血，把他們祭祀迦南的偶像，那地就被血污穢了。

並且你將給我所生的兒女焚獻給他。你行淫亂豈是小事，竟將我的兒女殺了，使他們經火歸與他嗎？
