Now you are planning to make the men and women of Judah and Jerusalem your slaves. But aren’t you also guilty of sins against the Lord your God?

如今你们又有意强逼犹大人和耶路撒冷人作你们的奴婢，你们岂不也有得罪耶和华你们神的事吗？

如今你們又心裏說要強迫猶大人和耶路撒冷人做你們的奴隸和婢女。這不是連你們也實實在在有得罪永恆主你們的上帝的罪麼？

今爾有意抑制猶大與耶路撒冷人、使為僕婢、爾曹豈非亦獲罪於爾上帝耶和華乎、

欲執猶大族耶路撒冷民為奴婢、豈不獲罪爾之上帝耶和華。

今有意強猶大人耶路撒冷民為爾奴婢、如是以行、必獲罪於主爾之天主、

And now you intend to make the men and women of Judah and Jerusalem your slaves. But aren’t you also guilty of sins against the Lord your God?

And now you intend to subjugate the people of Judah and Jerusalem, male and female, as your slaves. Have you not sins of your own against the Lord your God?

And now you are planning to make slaves of these people from Judah and Jerusalem. What about your own sins against the Lord your God?

Now you plan to reduce the people of Judah and Jerusalem, male and female, to slavery. Are you not also guilty before the LORD your God?

Now you are proposing to subjugate the people of Judah and Jerusalem as male and female slaves for yourselves. Are you not, however guilty yourselves of offenses against the Lord your God?

And now you propose to force the children of Judah and Jerusalem to be your male and female slaves; but are you not also guilty before the Lord your God?

And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not even with you trespasses of your own against Jehovah your God?

Now you plan to reduce the people of Judah and Jerusalem, male and female, to slavery. Are you not also guilty before Yahweh your God?

And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you:[ but are there] not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD your God?

And now you are planning to enslave the people of Judah and Jerusalem. Yet are you not also guilty before the LORD your God?

Now you intend to degrade the children of Judah and Jerusalem as male and female slaves for yourselves. Aren’t there even with you trespasses of your own against Yahweh your God?

“‘ Suppose any of your own people become poor. And suppose they sell themselves to you. Then do not make them work as slaves.You must treat them like hired workers. Or you must treat them like those living among you for a while. They must work for you until the Year of Jubilee.Then they and their children must be set free. They will go back to their own tribes. They will go back to the property their people have always owned.The Israelites are my servants. I brought them out of Egypt. So they must not be sold as slaves.Show them pity when you rule over them. Have respect for God.“‘ You must get your male and female slaves from the nations that are around you. You can buy slaves from them.You can also buy as slaves some of the people living among you for a while. You can also buy members of their families born among you. They will become your property.You can leave them to your children as their share of your property. You can make them slaves for life. But when you rule over your own people, you must be kind to them.

I am beginning to bring trouble on the city where I have put my Name. You might think you will not be punished. But you will certainly be punished. I am sending war against everyone who lives on earth,” announces the Lord who rules over all.’

Do just the opposite. Scripture says,“ If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. By doing those things, you will pile up burning coals on their heads.”( Proverbs 25:21, 22)Don’t let evil overcome you. Overcome evil by doing good.

It is time for judgment to begin with the household of God. And since it begins with us, what will happen to people who don’t obey God’s good news?Scripture says,“ Suppose it is hard for godly people to be saved. Then what will happen to ungodly people and sinners?”( Proverbs 11:31)

You will be judged in the same way you judge others. You will be measured in the same way you measure others.“ You look at the bit of sawdust in your friend’s eye. But you pay no attention to the piece of wood in your own eye.How can you say to your friend,‘ Let me take the bit of sawdust out of your eye’? How can you say this while there is a piece of wood in your own eye?
