緣此、主向亞瑪謝震怒、遣先知告之曰、斯諸神不能救拜之之民脫於爾手、爾反崇之奚為、

The anger of the Lord burned against Amaziah, and he sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why do you consult this people’s gods, which could not save their own people from your hand?”

The Lord was very angry with Amaziah. He sent a prophet to him. The prophet said,“ Why do you ask the gods of those people for advice? They couldn’t even save their own people from your power!”

Therefore the Lord was angry with Amaziah and sent to him a prophet, who said to him,“ Why have you sought the gods of a people who did not deliver their own people from your hand?”

This made the Lord very angry, and he sent a prophet to ask,“ Why do you turn to gods who could not even save their own people from you?”

So the LORD’s anger was against Amaziah, and he sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why have you sought a people’s gods that could not rescue their own people from you?”

So the anger of the Lord burned against Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet who said to him,“ Why have you sought the gods of the people who have not saved their own people from your hand?”

Therefore the anger of the Lord was aroused against Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet who said to him,“ Why have you sought the gods of the people, which could not rescue their own people from your hand?”

Wherefore the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, who said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which have not delivered their own people out of thy hand?

So the Lord’s anger was against Amaziah, and He sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why have you sought a people’s gods that could not deliver their own people from your hand?”

Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

The LORD was angry at Amaziah and sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why are you following these gods that could not deliver their own people from your power?”

Therefore Yahweh’s anger burned against Amaziah, and he sent to him a prophet, who said to him,“ Why have you sought after the gods of the people, which have not delivered their own people out of your hand?”

亚玛谢鼓起勇气，率领他的人民到盐谷去，击杀了一万西珥人。犹大人又生擒了一万人，带到一处崖顶，从崖顶把他们抛下去，使他们都摔得肢离破碎。

因为万民的神都是虚空的偶像，但耶和华创造了诸天。

耶和华差派拿单去见大卫。于是拿单来到大卫那里，对他说：“在一座城里有两个人，一个富有，一个贫穷。那富有的有极多牛羊，那贫穷的除了买来养的一只母羊羔以外，什么也没有。那小羊在他家里和他的儿女一同长大，小羊吃他的食物，喝他杯中的饮料，睡在他的怀里，就像他的女儿一样。有一个旅客来到富翁那里，他舍不得从自己的牛群羊群中取一头出来，款待到他那里来的旅客，却取了那穷人的母羊羔，款待到他那里来的客人。”大卫就非常恼怒那人，对拿单说：“我指着永活的耶和华起誓，作这事的人该死。他必须四倍赔偿这羊羔，因为他作了这事，又因他没有怜悯的心。”

彼勒俯伏，尼波弯腰；巴比伦人的偶像驮在走兽和牲口上。你们所抬的现在都成了重担，成了疲乏的牲畜身上的重负。它们一同弯腰、俯伏，不能保护重负，它们自己反倒被掳去了。

关于吃祭过偶像的食物，我们知道世上的偶像算不得什么，也知道神只有一位，没有别的神。

制造偶像的人，尽都是虚空的，他们所喜爱的，都没有益处。他们的见证人，一无所见，一无所知，以致他们蒙羞。谁制造神像，或铸造偶像，不想得到益处呢？

列国的偶像是金的、银的，是人手所做的。它们有口，却不能说话；有眼，却不能看；有耳，却不能听；有鼻，却不能闻；有手，却不能摸；有脚，却不能行；也不能用喉咙发声。做偶像的必和偶像一样；凡是倚靠它们的，都必这样。

你们不可与这地的居民立约，要拆毁他们的祭坛。’你们竟没有听从我的话；你们作的是什么呢？

先见哈拿尼的儿子耶户出来迎见约沙法王，对他说：“你怎能帮助恶人，喜爱那恨恶耶和华的人呢？因此耶和华的忿怒必临到你身上。

万国的王啊！谁敢不敬畏你呢？这是你应得的。因为在列国所有的智慧人中，以及在他们的全国里，没有可以跟你相比的。

那时，玛利沙人多大瓦的儿子以利以谢说预言攻击约沙法，说：“因为你和亚哈谢结盟，耶和华必破坏你建造的船只。”后来那些船只果然受到破坏，不能开往他施去。

耶和华这样说：“你们列祖在我身上究竟发现了什么不义，使他们远离我，随从虚无的偶像，自己也成了虚妄呢？

那时，神的灵临到耶何耶大祭司的儿子撒迦利亚身上，他就站在比众民高的地方，对他们说：“神这样说：‘你们为什么违背耶和华的诫命，使你们不得亨通呢？因为你们离弃了耶和华，所以耶和华也离弃你们。’”

那时，先见哈拿尼来见犹大王亚撒，对他说：“因你倚靠亚兰王，没有倚靠耶和华你的神，所以亚兰王的军队才可以脱离你的手。古实人和路比人不是有强大的军队吗？战车和马兵不是极多吗？只因你倚靠耶和华，耶和华就把他们交在你手里。耶和华的眼目遍察全地，一心归向他的，他必以大能扶助他们；你作这事太愚昧了。从今以后，你必常有战争。”

有一位神人来见亚玛谢，说：“王啊，请不要领以色列的军队和你同去，因为耶和华不和以色列人，不和任何以法莲的子孙同在。

我是说，教外人所祭的是鬼，不是献给神；我却不愿意你们与鬼来往。
