约阿施的臣仆谋反，在去悉拉途中的米罗宫杀了他。杀他的是示米押的儿子约撒甲和朔默的儿子约萨拔。约阿施葬在大卫城他的祖坟里。他儿子亚玛谢继位。

由于他们流了众圣徒和先知们的血，现在你使他们喝血，这正是他们应得的报应。”

耶和华驱使非利士人和古实附近的阿拉伯人攻打约兰。

民众把他葬在大卫城的王陵里，因为他在以色列为上帝和上帝的殿做了美善的事。

约兰便回到耶斯列疗伤。犹大王亚哈谢前去探望他。

耶路撒冷有人谋反，亚玛谢就逃到拉吉，叛党派人追到那里杀了他。有人用马将他的尸体驮回耶路撒冷，葬在大卫城他的祖坟里。

但你已看到世人的疾苦，随时伸出援手。困苦无助的人投靠你，你是孤儿的帮助。

这事以后，耶和华使约兰患了无法医治的肠病，日益加重，两年后肠子掉了出来，他痛苦地死去了。他的百姓没有像对待他祖先那样向他焚火致哀。约兰三十二岁登基，在耶路撒冷执政八年。他死后无人向他致哀。他葬在大卫城，但没有葬在王陵里。
