所以，你這評斷人的人哪，無論你是誰，都無可推諉。你在甚麼事上評斷人，就在甚麼事上定自己的罪。因你這評斷人的，自己所做的卻和別人一樣。我們知道這樣做的人，神必公平地審判他。

義人增多，民就喜樂；惡人掌權，民就嘆息。

耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你要用銀子做兩枝號筒，把它們錘出來，給你用來召集會眾，拔營起行。吹號的時候，全會眾要到你那裏，聚集在會幕的門口。若只吹一枝，眾領袖，就是以色列部隊的官長，要到你那裏聚集。你們大聲吹號的時候，東邊安營的要起行。第二次大聲吹號的時候，南邊安營的要起行。起行的時候，要大聲吹號；但召集會眾的時候，你們要吹號，卻不要吹出大聲。亞倫子孫作祭司的要吹這號筒，作為你們世世代代永遠的定例。當你們在自己的土地上，與欺壓你們的敵人打仗時，要用號筒吹出大聲。你們就在耶和華－你們的神面前得蒙記念，也必蒙拯救脫離仇敵。在快樂的日子，節期和初一，獻燔祭與平安祭的時候，你們要吹號筒，在你們的神面前作為紀念。我是耶和華－你們的神。」

他們在那裏大大害怕，因為神在義人的族類中。

大衛吩咐利未人的領袖派他們歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和鈸的樂器奏樂，歡歡喜喜地大聲歌頌。於是利未人派約珥的兒子希幔和他弟兄中比利家的兒子亞薩，以及他們同族弟兄米拉利子孫裏古沙雅的兒子以探。其次還有跟隨他們的弟兄撒迦利雅、便‧雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、烏尼、以利押、比拿雅、瑪西雅、瑪他提雅、以利斐利戶、彌克尼雅，以及門口的守衛俄別‧以東和耶利。歌唱的希幔、亞薩和以探，敲銅鈸，聲音響亮；撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、烏尼、以利押、瑪西雅、比拿雅鼓瑟，調用女音；瑪他提雅、以利斐利戶、彌克尼雅、俄別‧以東、耶利、亞撒西雅用琴指揮，調用第八。基拿尼雅是利未人聖詠團的領袖，又教導人唱歌，因為他精通此事。

百姓手裏拿着食物和角；其餘的以色列人，基甸都打發他們各自回到自己的帳棚，只留下這三百人。米甸營在他下邊的平原上。

他們附近的人，以及以薩迦、西布倫、拿弗他利人，都將食物，許多麵餅、無花果餅、乾葡萄、酒、油，用驢、駱駝、騾子、牛馱來，又帶了許多的牛和羊來，因為在以色列中充滿了歡樂。

約蘭用手轉過車來逃跑，對亞哈謝說：「亞哈謝啊，反了！」

王站在柱子旁邊，在耶和華面前立約，要盡心盡性跟從耶和華，遵守他的誡命、法度、律例，實行這書上所寫這約的話。全體百姓都願遵守所立的約。

亞哈見了以利亞，就說：「真的是你嗎？你這使以色列遭殃的人！」以利亞說：「使以色列遭殃的不是我，而是你和你的父家，因為你們離棄耶和華的誡命，去隨從巴力。

大衛和所有抬約櫃的利未人，以及聖詠團的領袖基拿尼雅和歌唱的人，都穿着細麻布外袍；大衛另外穿着細麻布以弗得。

我和所有跟隨我的人吹角的時候，你們也要在營的四圍吹角，喊叫：『為耶和華！為基甸！』」基甸和跟隨他的一百人，在半夜之初換崗哨的時候來到營旁。他們就吹角，打破手中的瓶；三隊的人都吹角，打破瓶子。他們左手拿着火把，右手拿着吹的角，喊叫：「耶和華和基甸的刀！」他們圍着軍營，各人站在自己的地方；全營的人都逃竄，一面喊，一面逃跑。三百人就吹角，耶和華使全營的人用刀自相擊殺。全營的人逃往西利拉的伯‧哈示他，一直逃到靠近他巴的亞伯‧米何拉。

他們各人就急忙把自己的衣服鋪在臺階的上層，在耶戶的下面；他們吹角，說：「耶戶作王了！」

義人享福，全城喜樂；惡人滅亡，人人歡呼。

示巴尼、約沙法、拿坦業、亞瑪賽、撒迦利雅、比拿亞、以利以謝眾祭司在神的約櫃前吹號。俄別‧以東和耶希亞也是約櫃的守衛。
