他们走遍犹大各城，把利未人和以色列的各族长召集到耶路撒冷。

王与以色列的众首领听了，就谦卑下来说：“耶和华是公义的。”

便召集祭司和利未人，对他们说：“你们到犹大各城去向所有以色列人征收银子，用来作每年整修你们上帝殿的费用。你们要立刻办理这事。”可是，利未人没有立刻办理。

亚哈斯与祖先同眠后，葬在耶路撒冷城中，但没有葬在以色列的王陵。他儿子希西迦继位。

耶和华使犹大衰微，因为以色列王亚哈斯在犹大肆无忌惮，悖逆耶和华。

竟去祭拜打败他的大马士革人的神明，说：“既然亚兰王的神明帮助了亚兰人，我要向这些神明献祭，以便它们帮助我。”但那些神明导致了他和全体以色列人的灭亡。

民众把他葬在大卫城的王陵里，因为他在以色列为上帝和上帝的殿做了美善的事。

约兰登基，巩固了王位后，就用刀杀了他所有的兄弟和一些以色列首领。

玛拿西其他的事、他向上帝的祷告以及先见奉以色列的上帝耶和华的名对他说的话，都记在以色列的列王史上。

自撒母耳先知以来，在以色列从来没有守过这样的逾越节，以色列从没有君王像约西亚、祭司、利未人、所有在场的犹大人和以色列人，以及耶路撒冷的居民这样守过逾越节。
