以色列王回答约沙法说：“还有一个人，我们可以向他求问耶和华；只是我恨他，因为他对我说的预言，都是凶话，不是吉话。这人就是音拉的儿子米该雅。”约沙法说：“王不要这样说。”

以色列王回答約沙法說：“還有一個人，我們可以向他求問耶和華；只是我恨他，因為他對我說的預言，都是凶話，不是吉話。這人就是音拉的兒子米該雅。”約沙法說：“王不要這樣說。”

以色列王對約沙法說：『還有一個人、這人是音拉的兒子米該雅、我們可以託他去尋問永恆主；不過我恨他，因為他傳神言論到我、總不說吉祥話；總是說不吉祥的話。』約沙法說：『請王不要這樣說。』

以色列王曰、尚有一人、音拉子米該雅、可藉之詻諏耶和華、然我憾之、因其論我之預言、有凶而無吉、約沙法曰、王勿言是、

以色列王曰、尚有一人、音拉子、米該亞、可以之諮諏耶和華、然我嘗憾其人、因彼所預言有兇而無吉、約沙法曰、王毋言是。

以色列王對約沙法曰、尚有一人、音拉子米該雅、可藉以問主、然我憾其人、因其論我預言、無吉惟凶、約沙法曰、王勿如是言、

The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the Lord, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.”“ The king should not say such a thing,” Jehoshaphat replied.

The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat. He said,“ There is still one prophet we can go to. We can ask the Lord for advice through him. But I hate him. He never prophesies anything good about me. He only prophesies bad things. His name is Micaiah. He’s the son of Imlah.”“ You shouldn’t say bad things about him,” Jehoshaphat replied.

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil.” And Jehoshaphat said,“ Let not the king say so.”

The king of Israel replied to Jehoshaphat,“ There is one more man who could consult the Lord for us, but I hate him. He never prophesies anything but trouble for me! His name is Micaiah son of Imlah.” Jehoshaphat replied,“ That’s not the way a king should talk! Let’s hear what he has to say.”

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one man who can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies good about me, but only disaster. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.”“ The king shouldn’t say that,” Jehoshaphat replied.

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, but I hate him, for he never prophesies anything good regarding me, but always bad. He is Micaiah the son of Imlah.” But Jehoshaphat said,“ May the king not say so.”

So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord; but I hate him, because he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil. He is Micaiah the son of Imla.” And Jehoshaphat said,“ Let not the king say such things!”

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah: but I hate him; for he never prophesieth good concerning me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

When he saw Elijah, he said to him,“ Is that you, you troubler of Israel?” (niv)

You descendants of Jacob, should it be said,“ Does the Lord become impatient? Does he do such things?”“ Do not my words do good to the one whose ways are upright? (niv)

There are those who hate the one who upholds justice in court and detest the one who tells the truth. (niv)

Ahab said to Elijah,“ So you have found me, my enemy!”“ I have found you,” he answered,“ because you have sold yourself to do evil in the eyes of the Lord. (niv)

For John had been saying to Herod,“ It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she was not able to, (niv)

He replied,“ I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.” (niv)

“ Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.When I say to a wicked person,‘ You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself. They said,“ Come, let’s make plans against Jeremiah; for the teaching of the law by the priest will not cease, nor will counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophets. So come, let’s attack him with our tongues and pay no attention to anything he says.” (niv)

Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? (niv)

If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. (niv)

He said to the king,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ You have set free a man I had determined should die. Therefore it is your life for his life, your people for his people.’”Sullen and angry, the king of Israel went to his palace in Samaria. (niv)

because of what my enemy is saying, because of the threats of the wicked; for they bring down suffering on me and assail me in their anger. (niv)

Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. (niv)

The bloodthirsty hate a person of integrity and seek to kill the upright. (niv)

While Jezebel was killing off the Lord’s prophets, Obadiah had taken a hundred prophets and hidden them in two caves, fifty in each, and had supplied them with food and water.) (niv)

But Micaiah said,“ As surely as the Lord lives, I can tell him only what my God says.” (niv)

The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil. (niv)

Like an earring of gold or an ornament of fine gold is the rebuke of a wise judge to a listening ear. (niv)

“ If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. (niv)

So he immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John’s head. The man went, beheaded John in the prison, (niv)

Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you. (niv)

Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of any of you.For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. (niv)
