你只要堅強，十分勇敢，謹守遵行我僕人摩西吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏離左右，好使你無論到哪裡去，都可以亨通。這律法書不可離開你的口，要晝夜默誦，好使你謹守遵行書中所記的一切；這樣，你的道路就必順利，你必一路亨通。

“你的門徒為甚麼違背古人的傳統，在飯前不洗手呢？”耶穌回答：“你們又為甚麼因你們的傳統，違背神的誡命呢？神說：‘當孝敬父母’，又說：‘咒罵父母的必被處死’。你們卻說：‘人若對父母說：“我應該給你們的，已經作了獻給神的禮物”，他就可以不孝敬父母了。’你們因為你們的傳統，就廢棄了神的話。偽君子啊，以賽亞指著你們說的預言說得好：‘這人民用嘴唇尊敬我，心卻遠離我；他們把人的規條當作道理去教導人，所以拜我也是徒然。’”

他又對那些教導以色列眾人，分別為聖歸耶和華的利未人說：“你們要把聖約櫃安放在以色列王大衛的兒子所羅門建造的殿裡；不必再用肩膀扛抬。現在你們要服事耶和華你們的神，服事他的子民以色列。

然後利未人耶書亞、巴尼、示利比、雅憫、亞谷、沙比太、荷第雅、瑪西雅、基利他、亞撒利雅、約撒拔、哈難和毘萊雅就教導他們明白律法。眾人一直站在原處聆聽。

因為自古以來，在各城裡都有人宣講摩西的書，每逢安息日，在各會堂裡都有人誦讀。”

從各方面來說，的確很多。最重要的，是神的聖言已經託付了他們。

“以色列啊，你要聽，耶和華我們的神是獨一的耶和華；你要全心、全性、全力愛耶和華你的神。我今日吩咐你的這些話，都要記在你的心上；你要把這些話不斷地教訓你的兒女，無論你坐在家裡，或行在路上，或躺下，或起來的時候，都要談論。你也要把這些話繫在手上作記號，戴在額上作頭帶。又要寫在你房屋的門柱上和城門上。

你們若信摩西，也必信我，因為他所寫的書曾論及我。

他們和保羅約好了一個日子，到那日有很多人到他的住所來見他。他從早到晚向他們講解，為神的國竭力作見證，引用摩西的律法和先知的話勸他們信耶穌。

你們研究聖經，因為你們認為聖經中有永生，其實為我作證的就是這聖經，

以色列眾人來到耶和華你的神選擇的地方朝見他的時候，你要在以色列眾人面前把這律法宣讀給他們聽。你要召集人民、男人、女人、孩子，以及你城裡的寄居者，叫他們可以聽見，叫他們可以學習，好敬畏耶和華你們的神，謹守遵行這律法的一切話，也叫他們還不認識這律法的兒女可以聽見，使他們在你們過約旦河去得為業的地上生活的時候，一生學習敬畏耶和華你們的神。”

所以，你們要去使萬民作我的門徒，奉父子聖靈的名，給他們施洗﹙“奉父子聖靈的名，給他們施洗”或譯：“給他們施洗，歸入父子聖靈的名”。﹚，我吩咐你們的一切，都要教導他們遵守。這樣，我就常常與你們同在，直到這世代的終結。”

他們應當求問神的訓誨和法度；他們若不照著這些準則說話，就見不到曙光。

如果有人在這城迫害你們，就逃到別的城去。我實在告訴你們，你們還沒有走遍以色列的各城，人子就來到了。

宣讀了律法和先知書以後，會堂的理事們派人到他們那裡來，說：“弟兄們，如果有甚麼勸勉眾人的話，請說吧！”

講道的，應當按著神的聖言講；服事的，應當按著神所賜的力量服事，為要在一切事上，使神藉耶穌基督得榮耀。榮耀、權能都是他的，直到永永遠遠。阿們。

後來有人在亞鎖都遇見腓利。他走遍各城，傳講福音，直到該撒利亞。

耶穌吩咐完了十二門徒，就離開那裡，在各城裡教導傳道。
