没有求问我的，我让他们寻着；没有寻找我的，我让他们遇见。没有呼求我名的国，我对他们说：“我在这里！我在这里！”我整天向着悖逆的子民伸开双手，他们随着自己的意念行不善的道。

但你们在那里必寻求耶和华你的神；如果你一心一意寻找他，就必寻见。日后，你落在患难中，这些事都临到你身上的时候，你必归向耶和华你的神，听从他的话；

“来吧！让我们回转归向耶和华；因为，他虽然撕裂了我们，但必定医治我们；他虽然击伤了我们，却必替我们裹伤。

以色列人向耶和华哀求，说：“我们得罪了你，因为我们离弃了我们的神，服事众巴力。”耶和华对以色列人说：“我不是曾经拯救你们脱离埃及人、亚摩利人、亚扪人和非利士人吗？西顿人、亚玛力人、马云人也都压迫你们；你们向我哀求，我也拯救你们脱离他们的手。你们竟离弃了我，服事别的神，因此我不再拯救你们了。你们去向你们拣选的神呼求吧！让他们在你们遭遇患难的时候拯救你们吧。”以色列人对耶和华说：“我们犯了罪了，你任意对待我们吧；只求你今日拯救我们。”以色列人就从他们中间除去外族人的神，事奉耶和华；耶和华的心因以色列人所受的患难，就很着急。

可是他听到了他们哀叫的时候，就垂顾他们的苦难。

后来，以赛亚也放胆地说：“没有寻找我的，我让他们找到；没有求问我的，我向他们显现。”

以色列啊，回转吧！回到耶和华你的神那里，因为你是因自己的罪孽跌倒的。（本节在《马索拉文本》为14:2）你们预备好要说的话，归向耶和华，对他说：“除去我们一切罪孽，悦纳我们的祷告。这样我们就把嘴唇的果子献上。亚述不能救我们，我们必不再骑马；我们亲手所做的，我们必不再称为‘我们的神’；因为在你那里，孤儿才得着怜悯。”

以色列人向耶和华哀求的时候，耶和华就为以色列人兴起一位拯救者拯救他们，就是迦勒的弟弟基纳斯的儿子俄陀聂。耶和华的灵临到他身上，他就治理以色列人；他出去作战，耶和华把亚兰王古珊．利萨田交在他手中，他的能力就胜过了古珊．利萨田。
