扫罗说：“这是百姓从亚玛力人那里带来的；因为他们爱惜上好的牛羊，要献与耶和华你的神；其余的，我们都灭尽了。”

如今我们将各人所得的金器，就是脚链子、镯子、打印的戒指、耳环、手钏，都送来为耶和华的供物，好在耶和华面前为我们的生命赎罪。”

这示罗密和他的弟兄掌管府库的圣物，就是大卫王和众族长、千夫长、百夫长，并军长所分别为圣的物。他们将争战时所夺的财物分别为圣，以备修造耶和华的殿。

所罗门王用牛二万二千，羊十二万献祭。这样，王和众民为神的殿行奉献之礼。

所罗门上到耶和华面前会幕的铜坛那里，献一千牺牲为燔祭。

又要从出去打仗所得的人口、牛、驴、羊群中，每五百取一，作为贡物奉给耶和华。从他们一半之中，要取出来交给祭司以利亚撒，作为耶和华的举祭。

百姓却在所当灭的物中，取了最好的牛羊，要在吉甲献与耶和华你的神。”
