他對猶大人說：“我們要建造這些城，在四周築牆，建造城樓，安設城門，製作門閂。這地還屬於我們，是因為我們尋求耶和華我們的神；我們既然尋求他，他就使我們四境平安。”於是他們興工建造，事事順利。

他对犹大人说：“我们要建造这些城邑，四围筑墙，盖楼，安门，做闩；地还属我们，是因寻求耶和华我们的神；我们既寻求他，他就赐我们四境平安。”于是建造城邑，诸事亨通。

他对犹大人说：“我们要建造这些城镇，四围筑墙，盖城楼，安门，做闩；地仍属于我们，因为我们寻求耶和华—我们的上帝；我们寻求他，他就赐我们四境平安。”于是他们建造城镇，诸事亨通。

亞撒謂猶大人曰、我儕當建斯邑、周築城垣、建樓、置門與楗、地尚屬我、因我尋求我上帝耶和華、既尋求之、則賜我四境平康、於是建築順利、

王告猶大人曰、我曾求我上帝耶和華、賜四方平康、國家無事、當及時築城垣、建樓、作門楗、百姓樂從、國以艾安。

亞撒謂猶大人曰、我儕當建此數邑、環築城垣、建樓、作門與楗、國仍歸於我儕、國仍歸於我儕原文作國仍在我儕前因我儕尋求主我之天主、既尋求之、主我之天主、賜我四境平康、於是建築城邑、無不亨通、

“ Let us build up these towns,” he said to Judah,“ and put walls around them, with towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we sought him and he has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

“ Let’s build up our towns,” Asa said to the people of Judah.“ Let’s put walls around them. Let’s provide them with towers. Let’s make them secure with gates that have heavy metal bars. The land still belongs to us. That’s because we’ve trusted in the Lord our God. We trusted in him, and he has given us peace and rest on every side.” So they built. And things went well for them.

And he said to Judah,“ Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God. We have sought him, and he has given us peace on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Asa told the people of Judah,“ Let us build towns and fortify them with walls, towers, gates, and bars. The land is still ours because we sought the Lord our God, and he has given us peace on every side.” So they went ahead with these projects and brought them to completion.

So he said to the people of Judah,“ Let’s build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, with doors and bars. The land is still ours because we sought the LORD our God. We sought him and he gave us rest on every side.” So they built and succeeded.

For he said to Judah,“ Let’s build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Therefore he said to Judah,“ Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

For he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars; the land is yet before us, because we have sought Jehovah our God; we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

So he said to the people of Judah,“ Let’s build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, with doors and bars. The land is still ours because we sought the Lord our God. We sought Him and He gave us rest on every side.” So they built and succeeded.

Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about[ them] walls, and towers, gates, and bars,[ while] the land[ is] yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought[ him], and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

He said to the people of Judah:“ Let’s build these cities and fortify them with walls, towers, and barred gates. The land remains ours because we have followed the LORD our God and he has made us secure on all sides.” So they built the cities and prospered.

For he said to Judah,“ Let’s build these cities, and make walls around them, with towers, gates, and bars. The land is yet before us, because we have sought Yahweh our God. We have sought him, and he has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

他又在猶大建造了幾座設防城，因為國中太平，多年沒有戰爭，耶和華使他享受安寧。

因為主的眼睛看顧義人，他的耳朵垂聽他們的呼求；但主的臉敵對作惡的人。”

吩咐猶大人尋求耶和華他們列祖的神，遵行他的律法和誡命。

他又建造上伯．和崙和下伯．和崙，成了有牆、有門和有閂的設防城；

你們所有勞苦擔重擔的人哪，到我這裡來吧！我必使你們得安息。我心裡柔和謙卑，你們應當負我的軛，向我學習，你們就必得著心靈的安息；

那時猶太、加利利、撒瑪利亞各處的教會，都得到平安，被建立起來，存著敬畏主的心過生活，並且因著聖靈的激勵，人數增多起來。

“至於你，我兒所羅門哪，你要認識耶和華你父親的神，一心樂意事奉他，因為耶和華鑒察萬人的心，知道人的一切心思意念。你若是尋求他，就必尋見；你若是離棄他，他必永遠丟棄你。

你們要以他的聖名誇耀；願尋求耶和華的人都心裡歡喜。你們要追求耶和華與他的能力，常常尋求他的面。

耶和華使以色列人得享平安，不受四圍仇敵的騷擾，已經有一段很長的日子；約書亞已經老了，年紀不小了。

趁著還有叫作“今天”的時候，總要天天互相勸勉，免得你們中間有人受了罪惡的誘惑，心裡就剛硬了。如果我們把起初的信念堅持到底，就是有分於基督的人了。經上說：“如果你們今天聽從他的聲音，就不要硬著心，像惹他發怒的時候一樣。”

趁著白晝，我們必須作那差我來者的工；黑夜一到，就沒有人能作工了。

‘你們要呼求我，要來向我禱告，我就必應允你們。你們要尋找我，只要一心尋求，就必尋見。我必給你們尋見（這是耶和華的宣告）；我必使你們被擄的歸回，從我趕逐你們去的各國各地，把你們集合起來，帶回我擄你們離開的地方去。’這是耶和華的宣告。

耶穌說：“光在你們中間的時間不多了。你們應當趁著有光的時候行走，免得黑暗追上你們。在黑暗中行走的人，不知道往哪裡去。你們應當趁著有光的時候信從這光，使你們成為光明的兒女。”耶穌說完了這些話，就離開他們隱藏起來。

希西家發憤圖強，重建所有拆毀了的城牆，牆上築起瞭望樓，又建造一道外牆，並且鞏固大衛城內的米羅，又製造了很多兵器和盾牌。
