罗波安住在耶路撒冷，在犹大地修筑城邑，为保障修筑伯利恒、以坦、提哥亚、伯夙、梭哥、亚杜兰、迦特、玛利沙、西弗、亚多莱音、拉吉、亚西加、琐拉、亚雅仑、希伯仑。这都是犹大和便雅悯的坚固城。罗波安又坚固各处的保障，在其中安置军长，又预备下粮食、油、酒。他在各城里预备盾牌和枪，且使城极其坚固。犹大和便雅悯都归了他。

于是国中太平四十年。基纳斯的儿子俄陀聂死了。

以后所罗门重新修筑希兰送给他的那些城邑，使以色列人住在那里。所罗门往哈马琐巴去，攻取了那地方。所罗门建造旷野里的达莫，又建造哈马所有的积货城，又建造上伯和仑、下伯和仑作为保障，都有墙，有门，有闩；又建造巴拉和所有的积货城，并屯车辆马兵的城，与耶路撒冷、黎巴嫩，以及自己治理的全国中所愿意建造的。

耶和华使以色列人安静，不与四围的一切仇敌争战，已经多日。约书亚年纪老迈，

他止息刀兵，直到地极；他折弓、断枪，把战车焚烧在火中。

这样，摩押就被以色列人制伏了。国中太平八十年。

耶和华啊，愿你的仇敌都这样灭亡！愿爱你的人如日头出现，光辉烈烈！”这样，国中太平四十年。

现在耶和华我的神使我四围平安，没有仇敌，没有灾祸。
