我已经给你们权柄，使你们能践踏蛇和蝎子，胜过仇敌的权势，没有什么能伤害你们。

法老又说：“这地方的以色列人如此众多，你竟叫他们停止工作！”当天，法老就对埃及监工和以色列人的工头下令：“从今天开始，不许再供应草给他们制砖，叫他们自己去捡，但上交的砖的数量要和往常一样，一块也不可少。因为他们懒惰，所以才嚷着要去给他们的上帝献祭。你们要加重他们的工作，他们就无暇再听那些蛊惑人心的话了！”

它们像蝎子一样尾巴上有毒钩，可以折磨人五个月。

我心柔和谦卑，你们要负我的轭，向我学习，这样你们的心灵必得享安息。

将来你们会因所选之王的压迫而呼求耶和华，耶和华却不会垂听你们。”

于是，埃及人更残酷地奴役他们，强迫他们和泥造砖，并做田间一切的苦工，使他们痛苦不堪。

但不可杀死他们，只折磨他们五个月。那种折磨就像被蝎子蛰到一样。

“‘我要的禁食是，除去罪恶的锁链，解开轭上的绳索，折断一切的轭，使受欺压的人得到自由，

我曾向我的子民发怒，让我的产业被玷污，把他们交在你手中。你对他们毫不留情，甚至让老人负极重的轭。

有蝗虫从烟里飞出来，落到地上，有地上蝎子的能力赐给它们。

“你去告诉哈拿尼雅，耶和华说，‘你折断了木轭，却要换来铁轭。我要把铁轭放在所有这些国家的颈上，他们都要臣服于巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，连田野的走兽也要交给他管辖。’这是以色列的上帝——万军之耶和华说的。”

回去继续工作！我不再供应草给你们，但砖要如数交齐。”
