and Solomon and the whole assembly went to the high place at Gibeon, for God’s tent of meeting was there, which Moses the Lord’s servant had made in the wilderness.

Solomon and the whole community went to the high place at Gibeon. That’s because God’s tent of meeting was there. The Lord’ s servant Moses had made the tent in the desert.

And Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon, for the tent of meeting of God, which Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the wilderness, was there.

Then he led the entire assembly to the place of worship in Gibeon, for God’s Tabernacle was located there.( This was the Tabernacle that Moses, the Lord’s servant, had made in the wilderness.)

「要用十幅幔子造聖幕，這些幔子要用細麻線和藍、紫、朱紅三種顏色的毛線織成，還要用精緻的手工繡上基路伯天使。每幅幔子的尺寸都一樣，長十二米、寬兩米。每五幅連在一起，形成兩幅大幔子。要在每幅大幔子邊緣釘上藍色的扣環，每幅大幔子釘五十個，扣環要兩兩相對，再做五十個金鉤，把兩幅大幔子連在一起，成為聖幕。「要用山羊毛織十一幅幔子作聖幕的罩棚，每幅長十三米、寬兩米。十一幅幔子的尺寸都要一樣。然後，你們要把五幅連成一大幅，其餘六幅連成一大幅，第六幅要在聖幕前疊起來。要在這兩幅幔子的邊緣各釘上五十個扣環，再做五十個銅鉤，把這兩幅大幔子扣在一起，成為一個完整的罩棚。鋪罩棚所剩下來的半幅幔子要垂到聖幕後面。兩旁餘下的幔子可垂在聖幕的兩邊，每邊長五十釐米，蓋著聖幕。罩棚上面要蓋一層染成紅色的公羊皮，再蓋一層海狗皮做頂蓋。「要用皂莢木做支撐聖幕的木板，每塊木板長四米，寬六十六釐米。每塊木板要有兩個接榫，好連接在一起。聖幕的所有木板都要這樣。聖幕的南面要有二十塊木板，在這些木板下面要造四十個帶凹槽的銀底座，每塊木板下面兩個，用來套在木板的兩個接榫上。聖幕北面也要有二十塊木板，這些木板下面也要裝上四十個帶凹槽的銀底座，每塊木板下面有兩個銀底座。聖幕後面，就是西面，要有六塊木板。聖幕後面的兩個拐角要各有兩塊木板，木板的下端連於底座，頂端用一個環固定。兩個拐角都要這樣做。這樣，兩端便共有八塊木板，每塊木板下面各有兩個帶凹槽的銀底座，一共有十六個銀底座。「要用皂莢木做橫閂，聖幕左右兩邊及後面的牆板上要各有五根橫閂，

「你要在一月一日支起聖幕，即會幕，

工人中的能工巧匠用十幅幔子做成了聖幕，幔子用細麻線和藍色、紫色、朱紅色的線織成，上面精工繡製了基路伯天使。

有一次，所羅門王上基遍獻了一千頭祭牲作燔祭，因為那裡有最重要的邱壇。在基遍，耶和華晚上在夢中向所羅門顯現，對他說：「你想要什麼，只管向我求。」所羅門說：「你的僕人——我父大衛本著誠實、公義、正直的心在你面前行事，你就向他大施恩慈，並且一如既往地以厚恩待他，讓他兒子今天繼承他的王位。我的上帝耶和華啊，你讓僕人繼承我父親大衛的王位，但僕人還年幼無知，不懂得如何治理國家。僕人住在你所揀選的子民中，這些子民多得不可勝數。求你賜我智慧治理你的子民，並能辨別是非；不然，我又怎能治理你這眾多的子民呢？」主喜悅所羅門的祈求，對他說：「既然你不為自己求壽、求財富，也不求滅絕仇敵，只求有智慧治理我的子民，我必應允你，賜給你空前絕後的智慧和悟性。你沒有求富貴和尊榮，但我會一併賜給你，使你有生之年在列王中無人能比。你若像你父親大衛一樣遵行我的道，遵守我的律例和誡命，我必使你長壽。」所羅門醒來，發現是在做夢。他回到耶路撒冷，站在耶和華的約櫃前獻上燔祭和平安祭，又宴請群臣。
