對那些今世富有的人，你當吩咐他們不可高傲自大，也不可把盼望寄託在靠不住的財富上，而要寄託在神身上，神把萬物豐豐富富地賜給我們享受。

當諭今世之富有者、志勿高、勿望無定之財、惟望上帝、即厚以百物賜我者、

當諭此世之富者、心勿傲、無定之財勿恃、惟賴永生上帝、洪賜我眾、百物以享之、

當諭此世之富者、心勿驕傲、勿恃無定之財、惟恃永生天主、厚賜我眾百物以享之、

叮嚀斯世富人、不可驕傲；財富無常、未足恃也。所可恃者、惟天主耳。天主慨然以萬物賜予吾人、俾得充量享受者、

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

Command people who are rich in this world not to be proud. Tell them not to put their hope in riches. Wealth is so uncertain. Command those who are rich to put their hope in God. He richly provides us with everything to enjoy.

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy.

That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. (niv)

Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf. (niv)

Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches,but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord. Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them. (niv)

You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways. I have seen a grievous evil under the sun: wealth hoarded to the harm of its owners,or wealth lost through some misfortune, so that when they have children there is nothing left for them to inherit. (niv)

Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position.But the rich should take pride in their humiliation— since they will pass away like a wild flower. (niv)

This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them— for this is their lot.Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil— this is a gift of God.
