For Scripture says,“ Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” and“ The worker deserves his wages.”

Scripture says,“ Do not stop an ox from eating while it helps separate the grain from the straw.”( Deuteronomy 25:4) Scripture also says,“ Workers are worthy of their pay.”( Luke 10:7)

For the Scripture says,“ You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain,” and,“ The laborer deserves his wages.”

曾經有誰當兵自備糧餉呢？有誰栽種葡萄園不吃園中的果子呢？有誰牧養羊群不喝羊群的奶呢？我說這些話，難道是按人的意思嗎？律法不也是說這些話嗎？事實上，摩西的律法上記著：「牛踹穀的時候，不可籠住牠的嘴。」難道神顧念的是牛嗎？還是特別為我們說的呢？這樣寫下來，當然是為我們的緣故！因為耕田的應該懷著希望去耕田，打場的應該懷著一同分享糧食的希望去打場。

照樣，主也吩咐那些傳福音的人，靠福音生活。

你們當住在那一家，吃喝他們所供給的，因為工人配得自己的酬報。不要從這家搬到那家。

在路上不要帶行囊，不要帶兩件衣服，也不要帶鞋子和手杖，因為工人配得自己的食物。

或者，你們以為經上所說的「神使聖靈住在我們裡面，他愛我們到嫉妒的地步」是空話嗎？

因為經上說：「所有信靠他的人將不至於蒙羞。」

既然經文預先看見神要使外邦人因信稱義，就預先把福音傳給了亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國都要藉著你蒙祝福。」

經上到底是怎麼說的呢？「亞伯拉罕信神，這就被算為他的義。」

原來經上有話對法老說：「我興起你，正是為此：好讓我藉著你來顯出我的大能，使我的名傳遍天下。」

神並沒有棄絕自己預先所知道的子民。難道你們不知道那有關以利亞的經文怎麼說嗎？他怎樣向神抱怨以色列人呢？
