In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain.

執事只作一個婦人的丈夫，要好好管兒女和自己的家。

人人向鄰舍說謊；他們說話嘴唇油滑，心口不一。

你這行詭詐的人哪，你的舌頭像快利的剃刀，圖謀毀滅。

因為他們口中沒有誠實，心裏充滿邪惡，他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓；他們用舌頭諂媚人。

監督既然是神的管家，必須無可指責、不自負、不暴躁、不酗酒、不好鬥、不貪財；

頌讚和詛咒從同一個口出來。我的弟兄們，這是不應該的。

務要牧養在你們當中神的羣羊，按着神的旨意照顧他們，不是出於勉強，而是出於甘心；也不是因為貪財，而是出於樂意。

「你的口出惡言，你的舌編造詭詐。

他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓；他們的舌頭玩弄詭詐。他們的嘴唇裏有毒蛇的毒液，
