Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger and dispute.

我欲人拱手敬虔、毋怒毋疑、隨在祈禱、

我欲人無怒無爭、隨在舉聖潔之手而祈禱、

吾望信眾隨處祈禱；祈禱時、應舉聖潔之手、更須平心靜氣。

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.

So I want the men in every place to pray. I want them to lift up holy hands. I don’t want them to be angry when they pray. I don’t want them to argue.

I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;

In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.

Lift up your hands to the sanctuary And bless the Lord.

So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

Come close to God and He will come close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.

So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are covered with blood.

let’s approach God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Therefore, I want younger widows to get married, have children, manage their households, and give the enemy no opportunity for reproach;

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, offer sacrifices to Baal, and follow other gods that you have not known,then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My name, and say,‘ We are saved!’— so that you may do all these abominations?

Jesus* said to her,“ Believe Me, woman, that a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

When our days there were ended, we left and started on our journey, while they all, with wives and children, escorted us until we were out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach and praying, we said farewell to one another.

This statement is trustworthy; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and beneficial for people.

a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, and made many charitable contributions to the Jewish people and prayed to God continually.

“ But now, do indeed plead for God’s favor, so that He will be gracious to us. With such an offering on your part, will He receive any of you kindly?” says the Lord of armies.“ If only there were one among you who would shut the gates, so that you would not kindle fire on My altar for nothing! I am not pleased with you,” says the Lord of armies,“ nor will I accept an offering from your hand.For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My name shall be great among the nations, and in every place frankincense is going to be offered to My name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My name shall be great among the nations,” says the Lord of armies.

Is it not to break your bread with the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh?Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will spring up quickly; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; You will cry for help, and He will say,‘ Here I am.’ If you remove the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness,And if you offer yourself to the hungry And satisfy the need of the afflicted, Then your light will rise in darkness, And your gloom will become like midday.And the Lord will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

Then he fell on his knees and cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” Having said this, he fell asleep.

But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be answerable to the court; and whoever says to his brother,‘ You good for nothing,’ shall be answerable to the supreme court; and whoever says,‘ You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.Therefore, if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you,leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.

You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.For that person ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,being a double minded man, unstable in all his ways.

But a time is coming, and even now has arrived, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the stomach of the fish,and he said,“ I called out of my distress to the Lord, And He answered me. I called for help from the depth of Sheol; You heard my voice.

And Jesus answered and said to them,“ Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain,‘ Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,‘ Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted to him.Therefore, I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted to you.And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you for your offenses.

And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them.

and he* said,‘ Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your charitable gifts have been remembered before God.

For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.

And he was saying,“ Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”And He said to him,“ Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

I will wash my hands in innocence, And I will go around Your altar, Lord,

If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear;

Although there is no violence in my hands, And my prayer is pure.

Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord.Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the sound of my pleadings.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination, How much more when he brings it with evil intent!

Therefore the Lord brought the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria against them, and they captured Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze chains, and led him to Babylon.When he was in distress, he appeased the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

And God said to him,“ Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself a long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the lives of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice,

One who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to deceit And has not sworn deceitfully.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fasting, But my prayer kept returning to me.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
