I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.

所以，我希望在各個地方的男人都舉起聖潔的手禱告，不動怒、不爭論；

故我欲人無怒無爭、舉維聖之手隨在祈禱、

我欲人拱手敬虔、毋怒毋疑、隨在祈禱、

我欲人無怒無爭、隨在舉聖潔之手而祈禱、

吾望信眾隨處祈禱；祈禱時、應舉聖潔之手、更須平心靜氣。

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.

So I want the men in every place to pray. I want them to lift up holy hands. I don’t want them to be angry when they pray. I don’t want them to argue.

I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;

In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.

Therefore, I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument.

If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly;and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall thy light rise in darkness, and thine obscurity be as the noonday;and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; How much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind!

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted my soul with fasting; And my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; But the prayer of the upright is his delight.
