When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples and, after encouraging them, said goodbye and set out for Macedonia.He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece,where he stayed three months. Because some Jews had plotted against him just as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through Macedonia. (niv)

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. So Paul left them. He took the disciples with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord. Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. (niv)

I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. (niv)

Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. (niv)

And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will come soon. (niv)

Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality. (niv)

They arrived at Ephesus, where Paul left Priscilla and Aquila. He himself went into the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews. (niv)

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. (niv)

If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. (niv)
