Now brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

So I asked,“ What is it?” He responded,“ It’s a measuring basket that is approaching.” And he continued,“ This is their iniquity in all the land.”Then a lead cover was lifted, and there was a woman sitting inside the basket.“ This is Wickedness,” he said. He shoved her down into the basket and pushed the lead weight over its opening.

For at that time there will be great tribulation, the kind that hasn’t taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again!Unless those days were limited, no one would survive. But those days will be limited because of the elect.

This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.

so that this generation may be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world—from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary.“ Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible.

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people, and we must be saved by it.”

Let the unrighteous go on in unrighteousness; let the filthy go on being made filthy; let the righteous go on in righteousness; and let the holy go on being made holy.”

When Peter went up to Jerusalem, those who stressed circumcision argued with him,saying,“ You visited uncircumcised men and ate with them!”

And the others seized his slaves, treated them outrageously and killed them.The king was enraged, so he sent out his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned down their city.

Therefore, if God gave them the same gift that He also gave to us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, how could I possibly hinder God?”When they heard this they became silent. Then they glorified God, saying,“ So God has granted repentance resulting in life even to the Gentiles!”

While Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews made a united attack against Paul and brought him to the judge’s bench.“ This man,” they said,“ persuades people to worship God contrary to the law!”

Then off it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and settle down there. As a result, that man’s last condition is worse than the first. That’s how it will also be with this evil generation.”

As the seven days were about to end, the Jews from Asia saw him in the temple complex, stirred up the whole crowd, and seized him,shouting,“ Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people, our law, and this place. What’s more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has profaned this holy place.”For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple complex.The whole city was stirred up, and the people rushed together. They seized Paul, dragged him out of the temple complex, and at once the gates were shut.As they were trying to kill him, word went up to the commander of the regiment that all Jerusalem was in chaos.

I will display wonders in the heavens and on the earth: blood, fire, and columns of smoke.The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and awe-inspiring Day of the Lord comes.

When he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to the place of his baptism, he said to them,“ Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance.And don’t presume to say to yourselves,‘ We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones!Even now the ax is ready to strike the root of the trees! Therefore, every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

“ He will completely destroy those terrible men,” they told Him,“ and lease his vineyard to other farmers who will give him his produce at the harvest.”Jesus said to them,“ Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This came from the Lord and is wonderful in our eyes?Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing its fruit.Whoever falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whoever it falls, it will grind him to powder!”

But the Jews became jealous, and they brought together some scoundrels from the marketplace, formed a mob, and started a riot in the city. Attacking Jason’s house, they searched for them to bring them out to the public assembly.When they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city officials, shouting,“ These men who have turned the world upside down have come here too,

But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and about to be cursed, and will be burned at the end.

saying,“ If you knew this day what would bring peace— but now it is hidden from your eyes.For the days will come on you when your enemies will build an embankment against you, surround you, and hem you in on every side.They will crush you and your children within you to the ground, and they will not leave one stone on another in you, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”

Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth. For I am God, and there is no other.

but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire about to consume the adversaries.If anyone disregards Moses’ law, he dies without mercy, based on the testimony of two or three witnesses.How much worse punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God, regarded as profane the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and insulted the Spirit of grace?For we know the One who has said, Vengeance belongs to Me, I will repay, and again, The Lord will judge His people.

Come now, you rich people! Weep and wail over the miseries that are coming on you.Your wealth is ruined and your clothes are moth-eaten.Your silver and gold are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You stored up treasure in the last days!Look! The pay that you withheld from the workers who reaped your fields cries out, and the outcry of the harvesters has reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.You have lived luxuriously on the land and have indulged yourselves. You have fattened your hearts for the day of slaughter.You have condemned— you have murdered— the righteous man; he does not resist you.

His winnowing shovel is in His hand, and He will clear His threshing floor and gather His wheat into the barn. But the chaff He will burn up with fire that never goes out.”

But when some became hardened and would not believe, slandering the Way in front of the crowd, he withdrew from them and met separately with the disciples, conducting discussions every day in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.

Look, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome Day of the Lord comes.

This grace was given to me— the least of all the saints— to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of the Messiah,

who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up and poisoned the minds of the Gentiles against the brothers.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.But how can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher?And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead— Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

“ When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that its desolation has come near.Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains! Those inside the city must leave it, and those who are in the country must not enter it,because these are days of vengeance to fulfill all the things that are written.Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days, for there will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

You are going to hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, because these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
