For you became imitators, brothers and sisters, of God’s churches in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, because you too suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they in fact did from the Jews,

弟兄们，你们曾效法犹太中在基督耶稣里神的各教会；因为你们也受了本地人的苦害，像他们受了犹太人的苦害一样。

弟兄们，你们与犹太地区上帝的各教会，就是在基督耶稣里的各教会，有同样的遭遇，因为你们也受了同胞的迫害，像他们受了犹太人的迫害一样。

弟兄们，你们与犹太地区神的各教会，就是在基督耶稣里的各教会，有同样的遭遇，因为你们也受了同胞的迫害，像他们受了犹太人的迫害一样。

弟兄姊妹，你们的遭遇和犹太地区基督耶稣的众教会的遭遇一样。你们受到了自己同胞的迫害，他们也受到了犹太人的迫害。

弟兄们，你们好像犹太地在基督耶稣里神的众教会一样，他们怎样遭受犹太人的迫害，你们也照样遭受同族人的迫害。

弟兄们，你们效法了犹太地区在基督耶稣里属神的各教会，因为你们也受了自己同胞的苦害，就像他们受了犹太人的苦害那样。

因為弟兄們，你們也像在猶太地基督耶穌裏的上帝眾教會那樣了。因為你們在自己同國人手下所受的苦、也正如他們在猶太人手下所受過的一樣。

弟兄們，你們效法了猶太地區在基督耶穌裡屬神的各教會，因為你們也受了自己同胞的苦害，就像他們受了猶太人的苦害那樣。

兄弟乎、爾嘗效在猶太屬基督耶穌之上帝會、以爾受苦於同族、猶彼於猶太人也、

兄弟效猶太宗基督耶穌上帝諸會、彼由猶太人受苦、爾由同族受苦亦然、

兄弟乎、爾曹曾效在猶太信基督耶穌之天主諸教會、蓋爾曹受苦於同族、如彼受苦於猶太人然、

兄弟乎、爾等實堪與猶太奉耶穌基督之諸教會、並駕齊驅。蓋爾等所遭受於爾國人之手者、與彼等所遭受於猶太人者、如出一轍也。

For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews

Brothers and sisters, you became like the members of God’s churches in Judea. They are believers in Christ Jesus, just as you are. Your own people made you suffer. You went through the same things the church members in Judea suffered from the Jews.

For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea. For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews,

And then, dear brothers and sisters, you suffered persecution from your own countrymen. In this way, you imitated the believers in God’s churches in Judea who, because of their belief in Christ Jesus, suffered from their own people, the Jews.

For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, since you have also suffered the same things from people of your own country, just as they did from the Jews

For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, for you also endured the same sufferings at the hands of your own countrymen, even as they did from the Jews,

For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans,

For ye, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judæa in Christ Jesus: for ye also suffered the same things of your own countrymen, even as they did of the Jews;

For you, brothers, became imitators of God’s churches in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, since you have also suffered the same things from people of your own country, just as they did from the Jews

For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they[ have] of the Jews:

For you, brothers, became imitators of the assemblies of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus; for you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, even as they did from the Jews

For in fact when we were with you, we were telling you in advance that we would suffer affliction, and so it has happened, as you well know.

At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and afflictions, and at other times you came to share with others who were treated in that way.For in fact you shared the sufferings of those in prison, and you accepted the confiscation of your belongings with joy, because you knew that you certainly had a better and lasting possession.

As a result we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions you are enduring.

Now we make known to you, brothers and sisters, the grace of God given to the churches of Macedonia,that during a severe ordeal of suffering, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in the wealth of their generosity.

But I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.

And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, when you received the message with joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, despite great affliction.

During his earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion.Although he was a son, he learned obedience through the things he suffered.

From Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

But when the Jews from Thessalonica heard that Paul had also proclaimed the word of God in Berea, they came there too, inciting and disturbing the crowds.

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced peace and thus was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, the church increased in numbers.

After they traveled through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish synagogue.Paul went to the Jews in the synagogue, as he customarily did, and on three Sabbath days he addressed them from the scriptures,explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and to rise from the dead, saying,“ This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Christ.”Some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large group of God- fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.But the Jews became jealous, and gathering together some worthless men from the rabble in the marketplace, they formed a mob and set the city in an uproar. They attacked Jason’s house, trying to find Paul and Silas to bring them out to the assembly.When they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city officials, screaming,“ These people who have stirred up trouble throughout the world have come here too,and Jason has welcomed them as guests! They are all acting against Caesar’s decrees, saying there is another king named Jesus!”They caused confusion among the crowd and the city officials who heard these things.

And Saul agreed completely with killing him. Now on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were forced to scatter throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria.

From Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace and peace to you!

Meanwhile Saul, still breathing out threats to murder the Lord’s disciples, went to the high priest

Nevertheless, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each person, so must he live. I give this sort of direction in all the churches.

But Ananias replied,“ Lord, I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem,

About that time King Herod laid hands on some from the church to harm them.He had James, the brother of John, executed with a sword.When he saw that this pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter too.( This took place during the feast of Unleavened Bread.)

Now those who had been scattered because of the persecution that took place over Stephen went as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the message to no one but Jews.

But Saul was trying to destroy the church; entering one house after another, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.
