Yahweh said to Samuel,“ Listen to the voice of the people in all that they tell you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me as the king over them.

耶和华对撒母耳说：“众民对你所说的一切，你只管听从，因为他们不是厌弃你，而是厌弃我，不要我作他们的王。

耶和华对撒母耳说：“你就听从民众对你说的一切话。其实他们不是厌弃你，而是厌弃我作他们的王。

永恆主對撒母耳說：『關於人民向你說的一切話你只管依從，因為他們不是棄絕你，乃是棄絕了我作王來管理他們。

耶和華對撒母耳說：「你就聽從民眾對你說的一切話。其實他們不是厭棄你，而是厭棄我作他們的王。

耶和華諭之曰、凡民所言、爾可從之、彼非棄爾、乃棄我也、不欲我為其王、

耶和華諭之曰、可從民言、彼不第棄爾、乃亦棄我、不欲我治理之。

主諭撒母耳曰、民向爾所言、爾惟從之、彼非棄爾、乃棄我、不欲我為其王、

And the Lord told him:“ Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.

The Lord told him,“ Listen to everything the people are saying to you. You are not the one they have turned their backs on. I am the one they do not want as their king.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.

“ Do everything they say to you,” the Lord replied,“ for they are rejecting me, not you. They don’t want me to be their king any longer.

But the LORD told him,“ Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected me as their king.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Listen to the voice of the people regarding all that they say to you, because they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

And Jehovah said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee; for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not be king over them.

But the Lord told him,“ Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected Me as their king.

And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

The LORD said to Samuel,“ Do everything the people request of you. For it is not you that they have rejected, but it is me that they have rejected as their king.

But you have today rejected your God, who himself saves you out of all your calamities and your distresses; and you have said to him,‘ No! Set a king over us.’ Now therefore present yourselves before Yahweh by your tribes, and by your thousands.”

Moses said,“ Now Yahweh will give you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to satisfy you, because Yahweh hears your murmurings which you murmur against him. And who are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against Yahweh.”

He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.

Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

Where is your king now, that he may save you in all your cities? And your judges, of whom you said,‘ Give me a king and princes?’I have given you a king in my anger, and have taken him away in my wrath.

But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying,‘ We don’t want this man to reign over us.’

But bring those enemies of mine who didn’t want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.’”

God came to Balaam at night, and said to him,“ If the men have come to call you, rise up, go with them; but only the word which I speak to you, that you shall do.”

But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, that they might walk in their own counsels.

Remember the word that I said to you:‘ A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.But they will do all these things to you for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them; because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they didn’t listen; but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn’t delight.”

Isn’t it wheat harvest today? I will call to Yahweh, that he may send thunder and rain; and you will know and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in Yahweh’s sight, in asking for a king.”So Samuel called to Yahweh; and Yahweh sent thunder and rain that day. Then all the people greatly feared Yahweh and Samuel.All the people said to Samuel,“ Pray for your servants to Yahweh your God, that we not die; for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask for a king.”

Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.

“ A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!
