When David reached Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends, saying,“ Here is a gift for you from the plunder of the Lord’s enemies.”

David reached Ziklag. He sent some of the goods to the elders of Judah. They were his friends. He said,“ Here’s a gift for you. It’s part of the things we took from the Lord’ s enemies.”

When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying,“ Here is a present for you from the spoil of the enemies of the Lord.”

When he arrived at Ziklag, David sent part of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends.“ Here is a present for you, taken from the Lord’s enemies,” he said.

When David came to Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying,“ Here is a gift for you from the plunder of the LORD’s enemies.”

願那喜悅我得伸冤的、歡呼快樂；願他們不斷地說：『要尊永恆主為大；就是那喜愛他僕人平安的。』

請收下我的祝福禮，我所帶來給你的，因為上帝施恩給我，又因為我一切都有了。』逼着他，他才收下。

所以我以為必須勸那幾位弟兄先到你們那裏去，把你們從前所應許的慨捐先湊好了，讓這一項齊備了，可以顯出是慨捐，而不是我的強取。

人的禮物使他的路寬闊，引他到大人物面前。先訴情由的似乎有理，還要別人來審查它。抽籤能止息紛爭，能在二強之間排解。弟兄蒙救助、就像堅固之城；但是紛爭卻像閂緊的衛所。人口中結的果子、他肚子裏必得飽足；他嘴裏出產的、必使他飽足。生死都在舌頭權下；愛鼓弄舌頭的必喫舌頭結的果子。尋得賢妻的、尋得福樂；他也從永恆主取得恩悅。窮乏人說懇求的話；富足人聲色俱厲地回答。有些朋友只是做同伴；但有愛友、比弟兄更親密。

你升上了高處，擄了俘虜，在人間接受了供品；啊，連悖逆人也供獻，叫永恆主上帝可以和他們同住！

乃縵回到神人那裏，他和他的全衛隊都去；他來，站在神人面前，說：『看哪，如今我才知道，除了以色列中之外，在全地上都沒有上帝；現在請從僕人接收點祝福禮物。』

但高尚人卻籌劃着高尚的事，他對於高尚的事必永久支持着。

大衛因基士的兒子掃羅的緣故就在洗革拉抑制自己、不敢自由往來，那時候有以下這些人來到他那裏；這些人也是在勇士之列、幫助戰事的。他們善於拉弓，能用左手右手甩石射箭；都是便雅憫人掃羅的族弟兄。為首的是亞希以謝；其次是約阿施，都是基比亞人示瑪的兒子；還有亞斯瑪威的兒子耶薛和毘力；又有比拉迦和亞拿突人耶戶，基遍人以實買雅，是個勇士、在三十人中，並且管理那三十人；又有耶利米，雅哈悉，約哈難，和基得拉人約撒拔，伊利烏賽，耶利摩，比亞利雅，示瑪利雅，哈律弗人示法提雅，以利加拿、耶西亞、亞薩列、約以謝、雅朔班這些可拉人、基多人耶羅罕的兒子猶拉和西巴第雅。迦得人之中有的分出來、到曠野的山寨去投奔大衛，都是有力氣英勇的人、對戰事很有經驗的人，能使用大盾牌和槍；他們的臉面好像獅子的臉面；說到快跑、他們就如山上的瞪羚羊：頭一個是以薛、第二個俄巴底雅、第三以利押、第四彌施瑪拿、第五耶利米、第六亞太、第七以利業、第八約哈難、第九以利薩巴、第十耶利米、第十一末巴奈。這些人都是迦得人中的軍官；小的一個能抵一百人，大的能抵一千人。當正月河水漲滿全岸的時候、就是這些人過了約但河，使全山谷的人逃走，東奔西逃。
