When David reached Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends, saying,“ Here is a gift for you from the plunder of the Lord’s enemies.”

David reached Ziklag. He sent some of the goods to the elders of Judah. They were his friends. He said,“ Here’s a gift for you. It’s part of the things we took from the Lord’ s enemies.”

When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying,“ Here is a present for you from the spoil of the enemies of the Lord.”

When he arrived at Ziklag, David sent part of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends.“ Here is a present for you, taken from the Lord’s enemies,” he said.

When David came to Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying,“ Here is a gift for you from the plunder of the LORD’s enemies.”

Now when David came to Ziklag, he sent some of the spoils to the elders of Judah, to his friends, saying,“ Behold, a gift for you from the spoils of the enemies of the Lord:

現在，請把婢女給我主帶來的這些禮物賜給跟隨我主的僕人們。

願那些喜歡我被顯為義的，都歡呼歡喜；願他們常常說：「當尊耶和華為大！耶和華喜悅他的僕人平安。」

請你收下我帶給你的禮物吧！因為神恩待我，我什麼都有了。」雅各再三勸說，他才收下。

所以，我認為必須鼓勵這些弟兄先到你們那裡去，把你們已經許諾的惠贈提前安排好，這樣就表明你們所預備好的就是惠贈，而不是被強取的。

人的禮物為他開路，引導他到大人物面前。爭訟中先陳說的雖顯得公義；但對方一來，就能查驗他的話。抽籤使爭執停息，也能在強者之間調停。被冒犯的兄弟比堅固的城更難對付；而爭執就如城堡的門閂。人的肚腹必因口所結的果實而飽足，因嘴上的收成而滿足。生與死都在舌頭的權下；喜愛它的必食其果。找到妻子的，就找到了福份，他從耶和華蒙了恩典。窮人苦苦哀求，富人凶狠回應。朋友太多的人，會受損害；但有一知己，比兄弟更親密。

你升上高天，擄掠了俘虜；你在人間，甚至在頑梗的人中，接受了供奉，好使耶和華神與他們同住！

高貴人卻籌謀高貴的事，並堅立在高貴的事上。
