既至、見亞瑪力人徧布於地、飲食舞蹈、因在非利士地、及猶大境、攘奪貨財甚多故也、

He led David down, and there they were, scattered over the countryside, eating, drinking and reveling because of the great amount of plunder they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from Judah.

He led David down to where the men were. They were scattered all over the countryside. They were eating and drinking and dancing wildly. That’s because they had taken a large amount of goods from those they had attacked. They had taken it from the land of the Philistines and from the people of Judah.

And when he had taken him down, behold, they were spread abroad over all the land, eating and drinking and dancing, because of all the great spoil they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah.

So he led David to them, and they found the Amalekites spread out across the fields, eating and drinking and dancing with joy because of the vast amount of plunder they had taken from the Philistines and the land of Judah.

So he led him, and there were the Amalekites, spread out over the entire area, eating, drinking, and celebrating because of the great amount of plunder they had taken from the land of the Philistines and the land of Judah.

押沙龍吩咐僕人說：「你們注意，暗嫩開懷暢飲的時候，我對你們說擊殺暗嫩，你們就殺他。不要懼怕，這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們要剛強，作勇士！」

人正說平安穩定的時候，災禍忽然臨到他們，如同陣痛臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕逃脫不了。

住在地上的人會因他們而歡喜快樂，互相饋送禮物，因為這兩位先知曾使住在地上的人受痛苦。過了這三天半，有生命的氣息從神那裏進入他們裏面，他們就站起來；看見他們的人都大大懼怕。兩位先知聽見有大聲音從天上對他們說：「上這裏來。」他們就駕着雲上了天，他們的仇敵也看見了。正在那時候，地大震動，城倒塌了十分之一；因地震而死的有七千人，其餘的都恐懼，歸榮耀給天上的神。

那時，人又吃又喝，又娶又嫁，直到挪亞進方舟的那日，洪水就來，把他們全都滅了。同樣，就像在羅得的日子，人又吃又喝，又買又賣，又耕種又建造，到羅得離開所多瑪的那日，有火與硫磺從天上降下來，把他們全都滅了。

伯沙撒王為他的一千大臣擺設盛筵，與這一千人飲酒。伯沙撒在歡飲之間，吩咐人將他父尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷聖殿所擄掠的金銀器皿拿來，好使王與大臣、王后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。於是他們把聖殿，就是耶路撒冷神殿中所擄掠的金器皿拿來，王和大臣、王后、妃嬪就用這器皿飲酒。他們飲酒，讚美金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石造的神明。

探子看見一個人從城裏出來，就對他說：「請你把進城的路指示我們，我們會厚待你。」那人把進城的路指示他們。他們就用刀擊殺了城中的居民，卻放走那人和他的全家。

他對他們說：「耶和華－以色列的神這樣說：『你們各人把刀佩在腰間，從這門到那門，來回走遍全營，各人要殺自己的弟兄、鄰舍和親人。』」利未人遵照摩西的話做了。那一天百姓中倒下的約有三千人。

我們侵奪了基利提的南方和屬猶大的地，以及迦勒地的南方，又用火燒了洗革拉。」

亞比該到拿八那裏，看哪，他在家裏擺設宴席，如同王的宴席。拿八心情舒暢，酩酊大醉。所以亞比該大小事都沒有告訴他，直等到早晨天亮的時候。到了早晨，拿八酒醒了，他的妻子把這些事都告訴他，他就發心臟病快死了，僵如石頭。過了十天，耶和華擊打拿八，他就死了。

看哪，人卻歡喜快樂，宰牛殺羊，吃肉喝酒：「讓我們吃吃喝喝吧！因為明天要死了。」

次日清早，百姓起來獻燔祭和平安祭，就坐下吃喝，起來玩樂。

惡人歡樂的聲音是暫時的，不敬虔人的喜樂不過是轉眼之間。

然後要對我自己說：你這個人哪，你有許多財物積存，可供多年享用，只管安安逸逸吃喝快樂吧！』神卻對他說：『無知的人哪！今夜就要你的性命，你所預備的要歸誰呢？』

非利士人的領袖聚集，要向他們的神明大袞獻大祭，並且慶祝，說：「我們的神明把我們的仇敵參孫交在我們手中了。」眾人看見參孫，就讚美他們的神明說：「我們的神明把那毀壞我們的地、殺害我們許多人的仇敵交在我們手中了。」他們心裏高興的時候，就說：「叫參孫來，逗我們歡樂。」於是他們把參孫從監獄裏提出來，在他們面前戲耍。他們叫他站在兩根柱子中間。參孫對牽他手的僮僕說：「讓我摸摸支撐這廟宇的柱子，我要靠一靠。」那時廟宇內充滿男女，非利士人的眾領袖也都在那裏，屋頂上約有三千男女觀看參孫逗他們歡樂。參孫求告耶和華說：「主耶和華啊，求你眷念我。神啊，就這一次，求你賜給我力量，使我向非利士人報那挖我雙眼的仇。」參孫抱住中間支撐廟宇的兩根柱子，左手抱一根，右手抱一根。然後他說：「讓我與非利士人一起死吧！」他盡力彎腰，廟宇就倒塌了，壓住領袖和廟宇內的眾人。這樣，參孫死的時候所殺的人比活着所殺的還多。

「你們要謹慎，免得被貪食、醉酒和今生的憂慮壓住你們的心，那日子就忽然臨到你們，如同羅網一樣，因為那日子要臨到所有居住在地面上的人。

約書亞一聽見百姓呼喊的聲音，就對摩西說：「在營裏有戰爭的聲音。」摩西說：「這不是打勝仗的聲音，也不是打敗仗的聲音，我聽見的是歌唱的聲音。」摩西走近營前，看見牛犢，又看見人在跳舞，就發烈怒，把兩塊版從手中扔到山下摔碎了。
