其餘的逃入亞弗城；城牆塌倒，壓死剩下的二萬七千人。便‧哈達也逃入城，藏在嚴密的屋子裏。

耶和華對何西阿說：「給他起名叫耶斯列；因為再過片時，我必討耶戶家在耶斯列殺人流血的罪，也必使以色列家的國滅絕。到那日，我必在耶斯列平原折斷以色列的弓。」歌篾又懷孕生了一個女兒，耶和華對何西阿說：「給她起名叫羅‧路哈瑪；因為我必不再憐憫以色列家，決不赦免他們。我卻要憐憫猶大家，使他們靠耶和華－他們的神得救，不使他們靠弓、刀、爭戰、馬匹，與馬兵得救。」歌篾給羅‧路哈瑪斷奶以後，又懷孕生了一個兒子。耶和華說：「給他起名叫羅‧阿米；因為你們不作我的子民，我也不作你們的神。」然而，以色列的人數必如海沙，不可量，不可數。從前在甚麼地方對他們說「你們不是我的子民」，將來在那裏必對他們說「你們是永生神的兒子」。猶大人和以色列人必一同聚集，為自己立一個首領，從這地上去，因為耶斯列的日子必為大日。

他們回去告訴耶戶，耶戶說：「這正應驗耶和華藉他僕人提斯比人以利亞所說的話，說：『在耶斯列田間，狗必吃耶洗別的肉；

他們的境界是到耶斯列、基蘇律、書念、

霎時間，天因風雲黑暗，降下大雨。亞哈就坐車往耶斯列去了。耶和華的靈降在以利亞身上，他就束上腰，奔在亞哈前頭，直到耶斯列的城門。

論到耶洗別，耶和華也說：『狗在耶斯列的外郭必吃耶洗別的肉。

那時，非利士人聚集軍旅，要與以色列人打仗。亞吉對大衛說：「你當知道，你和跟隨你的人都要隨我出戰。」大衛對亞吉說：「僕人所能做的事，王必知道。」亞吉對大衛說：「這樣，我立你永遠作我的護衛長。」

那時，米甸人、亞瑪力人，和東方人都聚集過河，在耶斯列平原安營。

非利士人聚集，來到書念安營；掃羅聚集以色列眾人在基利波安營。

耶戶到了耶斯列；耶洗別聽見就擦粉、梳頭，從窗戶裏往外觀看。
