Now swear to me by the Lord that you will not kill off my descendants or wipe out my name from my father’s family.”

Now make a promise in the name of the Lord. Promise me that you won’t kill the children of my family. Also promise me that you won’t wipe out my name from my family line.”

Swear to me therefore by the Lord that you will not cut off my offspring after me, and that you will not destroy my name out of my father’s house.”

Now swear to me by the Lord that when that happens you will not kill my family and destroy my line of descendants!”

Therefore swear to me by the LORD that you will not cut off my descendants or wipe out my name from my father’s family.”

你要照耶和华的慈爱恩待我，不但我活着的时候免我死亡，就是我死后，耶和华从地上剪除你仇敌的时候，你也永不可向我家绝了恩惠。”于是约拿单与大卫家结盟，说：“愿耶和华藉大卫的仇敌追讨背约的罪。”约拿单因爱大卫如同爱自己的性命，就使他再起誓。

拉班说：“今日这石堆作你我中间的证据。”因此这地方名叫迦累得，

但愿亚伯拉罕的神和拿鹤的神，就是他们父亲的神，在你我中间判断。”雅各就指着他父亲以撒所敬畏的神起誓，

人都是指着比自己大的起誓，并且以起誓为实据，了结各样的争论。
