我父啊，請看，你外袍的衣邊在我手中。我割下了你外袍的衣邊，卻沒有殺你。你從此可以知道，也可以看出我手中沒有邪惡，也沒有過犯。我雖然沒有得罪你，你卻要獵取我的性命。

我父啊，看看你外袍的衣襟在我手中。我割下你的衣襟，没有杀你；你由此可以知道我没有恶意叛逆你。你虽然猎取我的命，我却没有得罪你。

我父啊，请看，看你外袍的衣角在我手中。我割下你外袍的衣角，却没有杀你。你知道，并且看见我没有恶意要悖逆你。你虽然要猎取我的命，我却没有得罪你。

我父啊，请看，看你外袍的衣角在我手中。我割下你外袍的衣角，却没有杀你。你知道，并且看见我没有恶意要悖逆你。你虽然要猎取我的命，我却没有得罪你。

我父请看，你的这块袍子在我手中。我割下了你的袍角，没有杀你，现在你应该明白我并未图谋背叛你。我没有对不起你，你却要置我于死地。

我父啊，请看，你外袍的衣边在我手中。我割下了你外袍的衣边，却没有杀你。你从此可以知道，也可以看出我手中没有邪恶，也没有过犯。我虽然没有得罪你，你却要猎取我的性命。

我父啊，请看！看看你外袍的衣摆就在我手中！我割下了你外袍的衣摆，却没有杀你。你要知道，也要看见我的手中没有恶行或叛逆。尽管你在猎取我的性命，我却没有得罪你。

我父啊，看看你外袍的衣襟在我手中。我割下你的衣襟，沒有殺你；你由此可以知道我沒有惡意叛逆你。你雖然獵取我的命，我卻沒有得罪你。

我父請看，你的這塊袍子在我手中。我割下了你的袍角，沒有殺你，現在你應該明白我並未圖謀背叛你。我沒有對不起你，你卻要置我於死地。

我父請看，看你外袍的衣邊居然在我手中呢；我既把你外袍的衣邊割下來，又沒有殺害你，那你總可以知道、總可以看清楚、我手中並沒有謀害或背叛了罷。我沒有得罪了你，你竟獵取我的性命要了結它。

我父啊，請看！看看你外袍的衣擺就在我手中！我割下了你外袍的衣擺，卻沒有殺你。你要知道，也要看見我的手中沒有惡行或叛逆。儘管你在獵取我的性命，我卻沒有得罪你。

我父乎、請觀爾裾在於我手、我既斷之、而不殺爾、可知我手無惡無過、爾雖獵取我命、而我未嘗獲罪於爾、

爾乃吾君父、第斷爾裾、今執於手以為證、我不加殺害、俾爾知我不犯上、初無不善。然爾遍索我、欲喪我命。

我父乎、請觀爾衣裾在我手、我割爾衣裾而不殺爾、爾由此可知可見我並無惡意、我未曾叛逆乎爾、未曾獲罪於爾、乃爾遍索我、欲害我命、

See, my father, look at this piece of your robe in my hand! I cut off the corner of your robe but did not kill you. See that there is nothing in my hand to indicate that I am guilty of wrongdoing or rebellion. I have not wronged you, but you are hunting me down to take my life.

Look, my father! Look at this piece of your robe in my hand! I cut off the corner of your robe. But I didn’t kill you. See, there is nothing in my hand that shows I am guilty of doing anything wrong. I haven’t turned against you. I haven’t done anything to harm you. But you are hunting me down. You want to kill me.

See, my father, see the corner of your robe in my hand. For by the fact that I cut off the corner of your robe and did not kill you, you may know and see that there is no wrong or treason in my hands. I have not sinned against you, though you hunt my life to take it.

Look, my father, at what I have in my hand. It is a piece of the hem of your robe! I cut it off, but I didn’t kill you. This proves that I am not trying to harm you and that I have not sinned against you, even though you have been hunting for me to kill me.

Look, my father! Look at the corner of your robe in my hand, for I cut it off, but I didn’t kill you. Recognize that I’ve committed no crime or rebellion. I haven’t sinned against you even though you are hunting me down to take my life.

So, my father, look! Indeed, look at the edge of your robe in my hand! For by the fact that I cut off the edge of your robe but did not kill you, know and understand that there is no evil or rebellion in my hands, and I have not sinned against you, though you are lying in wait for my life, to take it.

Moreover, my father, see! Yes, see the corner of your robe in my hand! For in that I cut off the corner of your robe, and did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor rebellion in my hand, and I have not sinned against you. Yet you hunt my life to take it.

Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against thee, though thou huntest after my life to take it.

See, my father! Look at the corner of your robe in my hand, for I cut it off, but I didn’t kill you. Look and recognize that there is no evil or rebellion in me. I haven’t sinned against you even though you are hunting me down to take my life.

Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that[ there is] neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.

Look, my father, and see the edge of your robe in my hand! When I cut off the edge of your robe, I didn’t kill you. So realize and understand that I am not planning evil or rebellion. Even though I have not sinned against you, you are waiting in ambush to take my life.

Moreover, my father, behold, yes, see the skirt of your robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of your robe, and didn’t kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor disobedience in my hand, and I have not sinned against you, though you hunt for my life to take it.

現在，求王不要讓我的血流在遠離耶和華的地上，因為以色列王出來尋索我的性命，就像人在山中獵取一隻鷓鴣一樣。”

你們要去查看他所有藏身的地方，確定以後再回來見我，我就與你們同去；如果他在本地，我必從猶大的千門萬戶中把他搜出來。”

大衛住在曠野的山寨裡，又住在西弗曠野的山裡。掃羅天天尋索大衛，神卻不把大衛交在他手裡。

這就應驗了他們律法上所寫的話：‘他們無故地恨我。’

又說：“我主為甚麼這樣追趕僕人呢？我作了甚麼？我手裡犯了甚麼過錯？

他的僕人上前，對他說：“我父啊，先知如果吩咐你作一件大事，你不是照著行嗎？何況他只是說：‘你去沐浴就得潔淨’呢？”

大衛和跟隨他的人就起身出去，在非利士人中擊殺了二百人，把他們的包皮帶回來，滿數交給王，要作王的女婿。於是掃羅把他的女兒米甲給大衛作妻子。

耶和華我的神啊！如果我作了這事，如果我手中有罪孽，如果我以惡回報那與我為友的人，或是無故掠奪與我為敵的人，

敵人追蹤我們，使我們不敢在自己的街道上行走。我們的結局近了，我們的日子滿了；我們的結局已經到了。

願搬弄是非的人在地上站立不住；願災禍連連獵取強暴的人。

柔和的回答使烈怒消退，暴戾的話激動怒氣。

‘主耶和華這樣說：這些女子有禍了，她們替眾人的手腕縫製符咒的帶子，又替眾人製造不同長度的頭巾，為要獵取人的性命。難道你們獵取我子民的性命，就能保全自己的性命嗎？

我若昂首自得，你便如獅子獵我（“如獅子獵我”或譯：“獵我如獵獅子”），又在我身上彰顯你驚人的大能。

虔敬的人從地上滅絕了，人間也沒有正直的人，人人都埋伏著要流人的血，各人都用網羅獵取自己的兄弟。

因為他們無故為我暗設網羅，無故挖坑要陷害我的性命。
