爾曹細察、得知彼藏匿之所、則歸而據實告我、我與爾偕往、如彼在此地、我必於猶大諸邑中諸邑中原文作諸千中千即千家也遍索之、

Find out about all the hiding places he uses and come back to me with definite information. Then I will go with you; if he is in the area, I will track him down among all the clans of Judah.”

Their feet[ are] swift to shed blood:Destruction and misery[ are] in their ways:

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah,[ though] thou be little among the thousands of Judah,[ yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me[ that is] to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth[ have been] from of old, from everlasting.

[ As] the LORD thy God liveth, there is no nation or kingdom, whither my lord hath not sent to seek thee: and when they said,[ He is] not[ there]; he took an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they found thee not.

After two days was[ the feast of] the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put[ him] to death.

And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples.Judas then, having received a band[ of men] and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.

For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto thee, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that[ is] by the sea for multitude; and that thou go to battle in thine own person.So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that[ are] with him there shall not be left so much as one.Moreover, if he be gotten into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.And when they heard[ it], they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
