因為，外人起來攻擊我，強暴人尋索我的命；他們眼中沒有神。（細拉）神是幫助我的，是扶持我命的。

又有瑪雲、迦密、西弗、淤他、

你是我藏身之處；你必保佑我脫離苦難，以得救的樂歌四面環繞我。（細拉）

沒有人能以智慧、聰明、謀略敵擋耶和華。

這等人若不行惡，不得睡覺；不使人跌倒，睡臥不安；

既是這樣，還有甚麼說的呢？神若幫助我們，誰能敵擋我們呢？

大衛心裏說：「必有一日我死在掃羅手裏，不如逃奔非利士地去。掃羅見我不在以色列的境內，就必絕望，不再尋索我；這樣我可以脫離他的手。」

惡人窺探義人，想要殺他。耶和華必不撇他在惡人手中；當審判的時候，也不定他的罪。

有人告訴掃羅說：「大衛到了基伊拉。」掃羅說：「他進了有門有閂的城，困閉在裏頭；這是神將他交在我手裏了。」

因為，他們的腳奔跑行惡；他們急速流人的血，

王就吩咐哈米勒的兒子耶拉篾和亞斯列的兒子西萊雅，並亞伯疊的兒子示利米雅，去捉拿文士巴錄和先知耶利米。耶和華卻將他們隱藏。

我是投靠耶和華；你們怎麼對我說：你當像鳥飛往你的山去。看哪，惡人彎弓，把箭搭在弦上，要在暗中射那心裏正直的人。根基若毀壞，義人還能做甚麼呢？

惟有主站在我旁邊，加給我力量，使福音被我盡都傳明，叫外邦人都聽見；我也從獅子口裏被救出來。主必救我脫離諸般的凶惡，也必救我進他的天國。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。

以及我在安提阿、以哥念、路司得所遭遇的逼迫、苦難。我所忍受是何等的逼迫；但從這一切苦難中，主都把我救出來了。
