他用銅做洗濯盆和盆座，是用會幕門前事奉之婦人的銅鏡做的。

這二祭司對待百姓的規矩是這樣：凡有人獻祭，正煮肉的時候，祭司的僕人就手拿三齒的叉子來，將叉子往盆裏，或鍋裏，或釜裏，或壺裏一插，插上來的肉，祭司都拿了去。他們對所有上到示羅的以色列人都這樣做。甚至在未燒脂肪之前，祭司的僕人就來對獻祭的人說：「把肉給祭司，讓他烤吧。他不要拿你煮過的肉，要生的。」獻祭的人若說：「他們必須先燒脂肪，然後你才可以隨意拿。」僕人就說：「不，你立刻給我，不然我就要搶了。」這些年輕人的罪在耶和華面前非常嚴重，因為這些人藐視耶和華的祭物。

其中的祭司曲解我的律法，褻瀆我的聖物，不分別聖與俗，也不使人分辨潔淨和不潔淨，又遮眼不顧我的安息日；在他們中間連我也被褻慢了。

撒母耳年紀老邁，就立他的兒子作以色列的士師。

你們豈可偷盜，殺害，姦淫，起假誓，向巴力燒香，隨從素不認識的別神，又來到這稱為我名下的殿，在我面前敬拜，說『我們平安無事』，為了要行這一切可憎的事呢？

將來百姓所受的，祭司也必承受；我必因他們所行的懲罰他們，照他們所做的報應他們。他們吃，卻不得飽足；行淫，卻不繁衍；因為他們離棄耶和華，常行淫亂。酒和新酒奪去人的心。
