他冒着生命的危险击杀了那非利士人，耶和华为以色列人施行了大拯救，那时你看见了，也很欢喜。现在你为什么要犯罪，无缘无故杀死大卫，流无辜人的血呢？”

昔冒死擊非利士人、耶和華為以色列眾大施拯救、爾見之喜、今何無故殺之、流無辜之血、而干罪戾乎、

He took his life in his hands when he killed the Philistine. The Lord won a great victory for all Israel, and you saw it and were glad. Why then would you do wrong to an innocent man like David by killing him for no reason?”

He put his own life in danger when he killed Goliath. The Lord used him to win a great battle for the whole nation of Israel. When you saw it, you were glad. So why would you do anything to harm a man like David? He isn’t guilty of doing anything to harm you. Why would you want to kill him without any reason?”

For he took his life in his hand and he struck down the Philistine, and the Lord worked a great salvation for all Israel. You saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood by killing David without cause?”

Have you forgotten about the time he risked his life to kill the Philistine giant and how the Lord brought a great victory to all Israel as a result? You were certainly happy about it then. Why should you murder an innocent man like David? There is no reason for it at all!”

掃羅說：「今日耶和華在以色列中施行拯救，所以今日不可處死人。」

他們卻站在那塊田的中間，防守那田，擊敗了非利士人。耶和華大獲全勝。

約拿單回答父親掃羅說：「他為甚麼該死呢？他做了甚麼呢？」

說：「我出賣了無辜人的血有罪了。」他們說：「那跟我們有甚麼相干？你自己承當吧！」

從前我父為你們爭戰，冒生命的危險救你們脫離米甸的手，

婦人到掃羅面前，見他極其驚恐，對他說：「看哪，婢女聽從了你，不顧惜自己的性命，遵從你吩咐我的話。

我的性命常在我手掌中，我卻不忘記你的律法。

我見你們不來救我，就拚了命前去攻打亞捫人，耶和華就將他們交在我手中。你們今日為甚麼上我這裏來攻打我呢？」

我卻不以性命為念，只要走完我的路程，完成我從主耶穌所領受的職分，為上帝恩典的福音作見證。

因他為做基督的工作不顧性命，幾乎至死，為要補足你們供應我不夠的地方。

無故恨我的，比我的頭髮還多；無理與我為仇、要把我剪除的，甚為強盛。我沒有搶奪，他們竟然要我償還！

彼拉多見說也無濟於事，反要生亂，就拿水在眾人面前洗手，說：「流這人的血，罪不在我，你們承當吧。」

這是要應驗他們律法上所寫的話：『他們無故地恨我。』

但你們要確實知道，你們若把我處死，就使流無辜人血的罪歸給你們和這城，以及城裏的居民了；因為耶和華確實差遣我到你們這裏來，將這一切話傳到你們耳中。」

百姓對掃羅說：「約拿單在以色列中大行拯救，豈可死呢？絕對不可！我們指着永生的耶和華起誓，連他的一根頭髮也不可落地，因為他今日與上帝一同做事。」於是百姓救約拿單免了死亡。

免得無辜人的血流在耶和華－你上帝所賜你為業的地中間，血就歸到你身上了。「若有人恨他的鄰舍，埋伏等着，起來擊殺他，把他殺死，然後逃到這些城中的一座，他本城的長老就要派人去，從那裏把他帶出來，交在報血仇者的手中，把他處死。你的眼不可顧惜他，要從以色列中除掉流無辜血的罪，使你得福。」

大衛伸手入囊中，從裏面掏出一塊石子來，用機弦甩去，擊中非利士人的前額，石子進入額內，他就仆倒，面伏於地。這樣，大衛用機弦和石子勝了那非利士人，擊中了他，把他殺死；大衛手中沒有刀。大衛跑去，站在那非利士人身旁，把他的刀從鞘中拔出來，殺死他，用刀割下他的頭。非利士眾人看見他們的勇士死了，就都逃跑。以色列人和猶大人就起來吶喊，追趕非利士人，直到該和以革倫的城門。被殺的非利士人倒在路上，從沙拉音直到迦特和以革倫。以色列人追趕非利士人回來，搶奪了他們的軍營。

摩西對百姓說：「不要怕，要站穩，看耶和華今天向你們所要施行的拯救，因為你們今天所看見的埃及人必永遠不再看見了。

我們若忽略這麼大的救恩，怎能逃避呢？這拯救起先是主親自講的，後來是聽見的人給我們證實了。

凡等候你的必不羞愧，惟有那無故行奸詐的必要羞愧。
